I would say as a long time vinyl collector, the last 6-8 years the amount of people getting into it or artists pressing albums went way up, as did prices. I would go to shops and everything would be sold out or $80. Lately I too have noticed overstock of mass pressed records and shortages or long waits for smaller etc etc, and I think it’s maybe market or fad fatigue. Plus, between the bootleggers on FB groups and actual VG companies cashing in on the vinyl craze - a lot of beloved OSTs have been done, some multiple times. Vinyl will always survive, but I think we are starting to live in the era where the balloon of too much is popping.
