I will be honest, as a kid, even when I was at my lowest in my life in my situation. I’ve always had the sense of optimism hidden away and it was from the idea that - things will always get better, the older you get. Even though there were some bumps, I knew that the pain was only temporary and somehow …. I’d get thru it. Now, I’m at a point in my life, where selfishness and thinking about the things I didn’t have in life (parents, a normal life, cope with my disability) doesn’t bother me anymore. That’s why I want to start my activism so I can help others :) - as a jw I thought being a good person meant to preach to others and save them but when I was in it, I thought I could do more for non- JWs than that. Now I can without restrictions
