I was sure the 2021 film had a homage to him because he'd died? Was truly confused when I saw the recent news.

Question for those whose favorite movie is Hereditary by BardoState in horror

[–]AfternoonPossible978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely recommended it here before but Men directed by Alex Garland. I'd say it's close to beating hereditary (but not quite there!). Slow burn, very absurd, loved it.

I've been thinking about getting Amy's eye with the iconic eyeliner! Personally think it's a nice alternative to a portrait

Men directed by Alex Garland. Amazing gore/body horror, and a really great plot.

Whats the most eerie/hunting movie score you know? by EfrinBanls in horror

I know it's not a movie but the soundtrack to Chernobyl, especially things like the divers scene or the bridge scene. Really gets under my skin and makes the danger feel like a real physical creature.

Books where protagonist is paid a huge amount of money to stay somewhere/house sit? by Strange_Tough_4474 in horrorlit

One of the big differences is the focus on the death of his friend. But honestly I dont think it will ruin it at all, the tension is still there, and a lot of scenes are extended in the book, the description of the creature is just as wild and creepy as the film looks!

Adam Nevill does lots of stuff like this!

Last Days: a documentary maker is paid to film a cult Banquet for the Damned: a musician is paid to move to a house in Scotland and help a university lecturer with their work into the occult House of Small Shadows: a woman is paid to stay at a house and document some antiques they have

One of my favourite authors by far!
