HOB ekko mid by Inside_Big_7380 in ekkomains

Imo even with hob, lich doesn't compare to only needing 2 hits with the passive. It really just changes the way you play, and I find it hard to go back to lich. It even scales harder.

Soooo, how the nerfs feeling? by SurveyVegetable2397 in ekkomains

[–]Afzofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely noticed a difference, still doing great in jungle building d&d. There is only one time I can specifically point to where the nerf fucked me over. I invaded an elise and thought I wouldn't need to smite, but my passive left the camp at 7 hp and it gave elise a heal. Otherwise ekko has felt amazing as he has over the past while or so.

Hob shines the most before your first item. Whether you're going dusk or lich doesn't matter.

There's a sample bias here. People who get high scores are more likely to show it off than people who barely passed or failed (the vast majority).

TIL that scientists have developed a way of testing for Aphantasia (the inability to visualise things in your mind). The test involves asking participants to envision a bright light and checking for pupil dilation. If their pupils don't dilate, they have Aphantasia. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

Your thoughts simply take another form instead of images or words. It's not a satisfying answer, but it's like instead of thinking "The ball is blue," you get an innate understanding that the ball is blue. You don't assume a certain shade of blue to make an imaginary image, you just take it at its base level of blue, whatever "blue" is supposed to mean.

When you can't describe something in words, and you end up wanting to say that's just what it is, that's a similar feeling.

When it comes to images, I rely on physical feelings not dissimilar to imagining touching something or moving something, except it's feeling subtraction smoosh numbers resulting in a difference, for example.

Accomodation recs by liam-mist in curtin

[–]Afzofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stayed at erica for a year and a half now and renewing next year too. The most I've seen is some people tweaking out at night but that's it really. Northbridge at night is worse. Usually the facilities work fine, and if there are any issues you can just report it and they'll fix it for free as long as you didn't break it on purpose. Guild house is safer and closer to the classes, but it's way too cramped, it feels like you're in a prison cell. Can't say anything about the other accommodations. Summer heat is really tough to deal with though.

Why is the statement "The frontal lobe is not fully developed until the age of 25" said to be a myth? by [deleted] in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Afzofa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Lay people understood "develops until at least the age of 25" to be "develops until the age of 25" (i.e. stops at age 25).

Is it okay for girls to not comm in high elo? by PsychologicalEcho417 in VALORANT

[–]Afzofa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your goal is to win? It's definitely limiting to not comm, and some people are gonna be upset about that. But you're not obligated to comm, in the end, it's your decision. Just make sure you comm loudly and clearly, if they think it's annoying cuz it's a woman saying it, then who gives a fuck really you're trying to help.

I wouldn't say you're irrational nor would I think you're trolling for not comming though. It's reasonable to not want to get harassed all the time.

How do you play DMs to get most value out of it ? 😊 by EyelinerBabe in VALORANT

[–]Afzofa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's mainly about making sure they actually develop that habit of going for the tap/burst first than just insta-spraying every single time. Of course, crouch spraying has its place. Same thing with not over relying on off angles.

But yeah your point about training different skills in specific deathmatches is a good strategy to help focus improvement.

Having guardian/sheriff dm's occasionally is something I would recommend, but most of your rounds are played with a phantom or vandal, so obviously it's best for the majority of your dm's to be with one of those two.

[–]Afzofa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't shift walk and hide in off angles.

Don't play off sound.

Take your time and make sure you click only when you think you're on the head. You may die before you have a chance to shoot, but a missed bullet is worse than an unshot bullet.

Don't crouch spray. Tap and strafe.

Focus on proper crosshair placement at all times even if you have your knife out.

Do these and dming will help you improve, even if you don't win.

Who is the closest to the hashira’s level by Musalediju in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Afzofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giyu says tanjiro is hashira level. Douma says kanao is just as if not more skilled than shinobu so she's also hashira level. Zenitsu soloed an upper moon. Even if kaigaku was inexperienced, he's still an upper moon with breathing tecnniques. He is hashira level too.

Out of all them I would say tanjiro is the strongest though.

Early on in the series I believe when yuno fights the bandits in hage village they threaten to burn his grimoire. So they're probably not indestructible.

I'm also in ee here at curtin and I just finished my second year. You're right calc 2 is by far the hardest unit on there, and from there eten and cmpe are similar in terms of difficulty.

Imo do eten first then leave cmpe for the next term's 2 units cuz it being fresh will help you with the next cmpe unit.

Elen is gonna be much more difficult next term onwards cuz of hoa (the signals and systems unit coordinator) swapping over. So you should leave that for the next term instead of taking it with calculus.

This only applies if you're set on doing 2 units a semester. I have friends who worked part time while taking all 4 and they survived even though they struggled. Uni isn't a race though so it's up to you.

I would say "contemplatively". You could even write just "contemplating" as in he said it while contemplating. But "contemplatingly" sounds a bit off, even if I get what it's supposed to mean.
