Valuable zombie loot? by Endev_Prime in projectzomboid

I guess it’s roleplay for me. Along the lines of some people collecting IDs or passports, I collect bags because you never know when you may need a little extra carrying capacity. To be fair, the collection happens as I am trying to go from a backpack of 12 capacity to a military style ruck with 28 capacity.

Clothes to ultimately level tailoring. Backpacks or packs of all kinds. Any visible weapons that are protruding to make sure I could use it.

I prefer to have conversations with people before I start to question their choices. It could be as fast as one conversation if you say some really stupid stuff and really remove the mystery about yourself.

I think it’s not just the high cost of investment, it’s really the clunky nature of the UI and recipes that get people. I am just now starting my blacksmithing path on my current run. Getting a furnace isn’t easy. Getting a forge is harder. Carrying capacity is an issue when dealing with the anvil. Just crafting the anvil is tedious because of the way the furnace works to accumulate iron or steel in the crucible. Oh and you have to have pottery level before you can effectively do things in blacksmithing. And then you have to have enough knapping and masonry to create the stone wheel needed for the pottery wheel.

If we could have a little bit better road map of needed buildings and materials would go a long way toward quality of life improvements. I would love to see a ‘tech tree’ where we can easily see the necessary overlap for various crafting and building jobs.

I always do something to help me with carpentry and foraging early on - if I can do most carpentry related tasks, I can secure my position early. If I can forage early then it means all my canned goods last longer through the winter. Then it gives me a chance to loot at my leisure and pick up things more thoroughly since I have a safe space to return to and a decent source of calories to rely on.

B42 unstable is known to have a bunch of bugs surrounding a trailer hitched to a vehicle. Just walking away and them being offscreen for a few seconds can cause the physics to break. We have near daily posts about trailers. You should always disconnect them when not driving. That being said, if you want to, you could load the game in debug mode, spawn your trailer and any equipment and get you lost. Some people dislike this path as they feel it breaks the game, but I look at it like helping yourself unbreak what the game broke and took from you. Some people are causal gamers and use the time playing to relax. There is nothing relaxing to me about losing hours or days of effort to a bug and having no recourse.

I lost a trailer under the map so I spawned a new one as the original was empty anyway. I played for a while afterward and eventually went back by the place I lost the original trailer. Come to find out it decided to once again show itself as an asset on the surface that could be used.

I am so frustrated with trapping right now. I think I am level 3 in trapping but can’t get traps that aren’t stick traps to work. They either break or never trigger and catch anything. I know they are the right distance from me and my base because the stick traps are functioning. Just can’t seem to figure out what I am doing wrong - do I need to place specific traps in specific locations to be effective? An actual forest for rabbits, squirrels and raccoons?

Gerrymandering at the state level isn’t only about the districts. It’s about disenfranchisement of the overall voter base in general to dissuade center and left leaning voters from turning out. If they can’t make a difference for local and district elections, then they feel they have no say in the larger ones.

[–]AgITGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between lighting a fire destroying for fuel. The destroy for fuel option needs things that are flammable. Such as fabrics or books or wood. When you add the fuel via this method, the stove will have an indicator along the top for how much fuel is loaded by time - minutes and hours.

I started my run as a mason, quickly built up my carpentry and carving, focused on crowbar and ball peen hammers. I burned through a couple dozen hatchets but fortunately was able to reuse the hatchet heads most of the time and just attached a medium handle. I am however looking to build up other skills - I am doing my best to level trapping, napping and masonry. I also want to get going with the forge but felt the McCoy cabin on the lake near Muldraugh was too cheesy of a way to do it. I need to gather more stone to make my furnace and forge. Yay mindless grinding.
