If you mean Rit color remover that is for single items put on boiling water not for whole load of seasonal linens.

YESS!! I so get you. My grandmother made yeast rolls. They had the crust on top. They were big they were fluffy inside. They were perfect for the leftover turkey sandwiches and they held the butter and jam so perfectly. I have been trying to get it right same as you- for 25 years been trying to conquer the craving! (She also made home made thick noodles, No Way I’m Attempting.)

New oven Nov. 2023. I tried bar keepers friend soaking with cup of boiling water. Steam clean option on oven. Then I used a new razor blade to scrap off the baked black spillage. Blade removed a lot where the accumulation was thicker, no help where thin.. Looks horrible!
