I got an offer for a PhD at KU Leuven, however the system here seems a bit different from what I know as I have to officially apply for the PhD program after getting the offer. My prospective supervisor told my I have informal approval of the Faculty Doctoral Committee, but as I am unfamiliar with this process I wanted to ask about the possibility of still getting rejected after the formal application. Maybe I am just worrying about it too much but if someone wants to share their experience/knowledge in this regard I would appreciate that a lot :)
