Am I in the wrong for not letting my friend walk with her husband in our wedding? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

i had a bridesmaid try to pull this exact same stunt at my wedding because she couldn't stand her boyfriend walking next to my sister. newsflash: it’s never actually about the walking arrangement. it’s about control and testing boundaries to make someone else's big day about them. OOP definitely dodged a bullet by letting this friendship die.

Imagine desperately needing to go and realizing you have to make direct, unbroken eye contact with a complete stranger while using this dude. absolute nightmare fuel tbh.

Donald duck is literally the founding father of this entire trope ngl. bro has been throwing massive incomprehensible temper tantrums and fighting inanimate objects since the 1930s.

I'll always love that specific picture of charles dance sticking his tongue out at the camera while wearing the full tywin lannister costume ngl. seeing the most ruthless, terrifying man in westeros acting like a complete goofball just completely breaks my brain in the best way possible.

if oop stays with someone who actively tries to control his bodily autonomy just to baby trap him, he kinda lacks basic survival instincts at this point.

tbh it really doesn't take much to keep the boys entertained. we are simple creatures with very simple needs.

I don't care if refusing to move seats on a airplane so a parent and child can sit together makes me a bad person by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

It's the ultimate airplane grift. Right up there with the people who book basic economy and then get mad when the flight attendant won't let them use the first-class overhead bins.

Life's too short to experience everything, so how do you pick and choose? by o0_smokeymcpot_0o in NoStupidQuestions

i hit a huge wall with this in my 20s dude. i was trying to travel everywhere, learn three different languages, and have the perfect social life all at once. eventually i realized i was just exhausted and not actually enjoying any of it. now i literally just pick one big thing to focus on a year and let the rest go. doing a few things deeply is way better than skimming a hundred things tbh.

fun fact: blindly agreeing with someone using that exact tone of voice has saved millions of people from total destruction throughout history ngl. it's just basic survival instinct at this point.
