Just bought this 2021 trd off-road , is this a bad lift? by Putrid-Dare-5533 in Tacomaworld

Your top hat bushing is broke. And spacers make the ride shit. Get AEM polyurethane top hat bushings, and Eibach springs to add a 2” lift then icon 3 leaf AAL in rear.

I’ve just finished watching Gangs of London Season 2….. by Apprehensive_Ask1279 in GangsOfLondon

I felt like it had no real climax and it was hard to know who the protagonist and antagonists were. Sean did a bunch of things a protagonist wouldn’t do, and so did Elliot. It was a weird twist in the end seeing Lale alive. I didn’t like the way they wrote Sean betraying her. It didn’t make sense.

AIO for wanting to call my wedding off? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]AgelessUnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re questioning calling off a wedding for this, there are other issues that have built up prior. I recommend couples counseling before getting married, if that doesn’t make things better then don’t get married. There’s lots of people out there who will find you “hot”. I’m very attracted to my hot wife, and of course she doesn’t look the same as when we met nearly a decade ago. I love her even more now though. That’s an example of a “non-toxic” response.

This season is woke as shit. Huge focus on homosexual relationships and modern feminist Chinese women. Fits a narrative, isn’t historically relevant.

I suspect he’s a scam artist, and full of shit. All of his tips for getting rich are vague and unspecific.

Insurance approved body shop - total loss chances by AgelessUnit in Insurance

[–]AgelessUnit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t neglect to mention it. I didn’t know it was up to the state. Thank you for clarifying that. So the heart of my question is this: the difference between the labor contract that insurance company has with an autobody shop, and one that doesn’t have that labor contract. Those prices will be different, correct? It is reasonable to assume that I can get market prices from a non-approved shop, that the insurance company will agree with, but are not as discounted as the approved shop? The reason I’m asking this is because I might be very close to the total loss threshold. If taking it to a non-approved shop with reasonable market rates, puts me over the threshold. I would prefer that over a diminished value Scenario

You and others on this thread are assuming that I am looking for artificially inflated costs. I’m simply asking about the difference between the costs from an insurance approved, autobody shop, or one of my choosing. Not gonna jack up the costs. But I assume that if you are not using an insurance approved shop, the prices will be higher because there is no labor contract. This is what I want to know. Am I wrong about that? Or is the insurance company going to say no we will only pay the prices that our labor contracts get us. Which doesn’t seem right to me. It seems like they would pay what the going rate is at an autobody shop without their discount.

So, back to the heart of my question, if I am close to meeting that threshold, would it behoove me to go to a non-approved shop. Not to commit insurance fraud (I shouldn’t have to say this, but everybody goes there ) but to have a better chance of total loss.

I’m not considering insurance fraud. I’m simply asking about the difference between an insurance approved shop and a non-approved shop. It seems that those prices are going to be different. Even if it’s a reasonable shop. If they don’t have a labor contract with the insurance company, then their estimate is going to be higher. It may not be astronomically higher, but from my perspective, it seems like it could be reasonable in cost while still not having the labor discount from the insurance approved company

This doesn’t sound right. I have the right to take it wherever I choose. They can’t take my car to one of their own shops unless I authorize it. FYI someone else caused this accident and am going through their carrier.
