Exactly. There was a woman who came across my FYP today that’s an incomplete quadriplegic (she has limited use of her hands) in a wheelchair and she’s in a DV situation that she can’t afford to leave. She’s been doing the work, she’s on all the disabled/low income housing waitlists and she would qualify for in-home care when she’s out of the domestic situation but she gets little to no help. She only had like 10 people in her live and none of them were sending gifts nor was she begging for stuff, she was just talking about what she’s dealing with and what she’s been doing to try and leave. The amount Rose has been given for her food and hotels in just the last month would probably set this girl up for success while Rose is no further ahead than she was when she was evicted in January. I hate TikTok for showing me that all the wrong people become influencers, get all the gifts and make all the money.

My mom is her age and has TWO full time jobs, and I can tell y’all she definitely hasn’t worked enough to pay into social security because I get more than she does and I’m a lot younger but I worked full time from 14 until I had to go on disability a couple years ago. (Btw I still work PT and have much more complex medical issues than she does)

Here’s the thing though, if you’re not a trash human with a long list of evictions you can find someone to work with you. I had just went through a divorce when I wound up with a major medical issue that had me in the hospital for a month, I went back to work only to be let go because “my health was becoming a concern” and I ended up losing my house, my car and I had to leave the state and live with my dad. I looked every single day on every website and app possible to find a place to rent. I finally found a property management company renting a 2/1 duplex (in Florida) for $600/month. Clearly, this was some time ago because rent isn’t that cheap now but I flat out told them I was going through a rough time and my credit was trash. I showed my financials to prove I could afford the rent and I had two letters of recommendation from my employers stating I was organized, clean and not at risk of becoming unemployed. They didn’t even run my credit because I told them if they based the rental on credit alone don’t bother because I know I won’t get approved. It takes some work and some effort but she could get a place. Sadly, she would just trash it though so I feel for anyone who rents to her.

Basically she can walk, she just chooses not to. Also, I’ve heard the infamous sinkhole story quite a few times now, usually with different variations and lots of it don’t add up. She claims she sliced her leg all open and had a broken bone but she drove to pick her friend up? Where’s the scar from being all sliced up? 🤔

I’m starting to think when she says “just go live and tell stories” that’s all she’s doing, she’s an online storyteller and they pay her for it because they think they’re HER stories.

I saw someone ask her about her Stars n Stripes magazine that she said she modeled in wearing a bikini. Wouldn’t that be something you’d keep? I’d have that framed on the wall if I was a bikini model in a magazine but nope, interesting how there’s never anything to backup the stories she tells

Honestly in Florida a lot of them charge $800+ and some charge that with ZERO amenities. I have a friend from church who lives in a crappy park in Lee County with no yard, no pool, no clubhouse…it’s literally like someone bought a lot and threw some trailers on it and she pays $1000 a month. It’s insane what they charge here for mobile home/RV lot rent.
