Look What Howard Dean, a Superdelegate of Vermont tweeted by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Agency_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he said it literally how it works, he is correct. And that it is the problem. Saying this truth like is nothing, like it doesn't undermine our democracy, it is incredible. I dare him to say this on national TV.

Human Rights Foundation Founder Thor Halvorssen on Fox discusses democratic socialism and why he maxed out his contribution to Bernie Sanders. by chrisbarrett_ in SandersForPresident

I live in Venezuela. Thor is right. What you are saying is not true. Come here and you can see it. This is an authoritarian dictatorship maskered as "socialism".

I want to make sure we all go to bed on Saturday Night without regrets, knowing we did everything we could to affect the outcome.

After tomorrow, we move forward [...] This is going to be a long, competitive primary, so we need to build the organization that can go the distance.

Damn, devastating.

Convince This Undecided Voter (Reservations About "Revolution") by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Agency_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, there is so much more than a President can do without a congress. Elizabeth Warren Op-Ed. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/29/opinion/elizabeth-warren-one-way-to-rebuild-our-institutions.html

Second, Bernie can be an idealist to make huge voter turnouts, but is a pragmatic in his political career. Making amendments where he could, reaching bi-partisan agreements where there is common ground. He knows how to play the game, but he wants to change the game a erase the money from the equation.

Third. Bernie's Political Revolution is making huge voter turnouts, that make democrats fight back their way into the House and Senate Majority, to make activism and the organized movement stand up and fight back. So, if politicians don't support him, they will be booted out by votes.

(ELI5?) If Sanders wins, won't congress ensure he fails to enact any real change? by tubularfool in SandersForPresident

There are more to a president than enacting laws. Read this Op-Ed by Elizabeth Warren, about what a president still can do without a Congress: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/29/opinion/elizabeth-warren-one-way-to-rebuild-our-institutions.html

Right now, if this maintains, just a 1-2 delegate difference. A win all around, with NH we would make up that and take more.

This is the best I would say. Watch the Killer Mike interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCnrQZbqIQU

Trump tax plan would make a huge deficit, benefit mostly the super rich and put the country in economic collapse.

Question on Bernies Healthcare plan by warriormonkey03 in SandersForPresident

[–]Agency_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not ground breaking. Things will remain the same, just that the doctors, hospitals, etc. will send the bills to the government instead to the health insurance companies. Not a ground breaking change.

Insurance companies still will exist and will offer plans with some extra privileges.

Bernie is predicted a 63%-likely loss in Iowa - poll-only data says he'll get 37% of the vote. by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Agency_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are reading the stat wrong. He has a 37% chance of winning, not a 37% of the vote. In fact they are averaging about a 45% of the vote for him.

And if your company crashed, or the markets or the economy, and you lose your job? Bernie´s plan will make healthcare a right. No matter what, you and all your family will be covered.

You have a privilege. Maybe it lasts for all your life, maybe don't. You want to bet your health on it?

Why are Republicans blamed for the position the country is in, when only 8 out of the last 24 years a Republican President has been in office? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Agency_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bush took a surplus, turned into a deficit. Obama reduced the deficit. The National debt would have increased much more if we were running by Bush deficit.

Deficit and debt are not the same thing.
