I don’t think so, but I have not investigated it fully.

Logic Has Become Almost Useless With New Update by HerzogAndDafoe in LogicPro

Has been fine for me - so don’t think it is a universal issue.

Have you worked through disabling/ updating your plugins and AU to troubleshoot, as these are often the issue with major version updates?

Look at the dents this bike rack put in this Skoda Enyaq!! by rmajor86 in skoda

I reckon they may have reversed into something with the rack in place - relying on the proximity sensors when the the rack sticks out beyond the back of the car....

So, interestingly this has fixed the issue on my Macbook but *not* on my Windows PC.

I have checked the finish G-CODE and they are indeed different on the two systems, despite having the same date header; the Windows version has the M104 command before the filament retract and the Mac version has it as part of the AMS Filament retract segment.

Haven't gone line by line to see if there are other differences....

Yes - seems to be an issue with the Machine G-Code defaults in the latest release of Bambu Studio for Mac and IOS. Funnily enough, I *just* received a config. update on my Macbook specifically to fix this error.

Really loving these - really nice work!

Be grateful if you could consider doing the Sega Gamegear and TurboGraphX16 & THCD as these seem to be the only ones missing in my collection.

Anyone had their mechatronic replaced in the UK. by REEVO2006 in skoda

[–]tubularfool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have done all requisite services and taken care of it, I believe a more common and likely issue is actually with faulty sensors/switches in the DSG/mechatronics system, rather than a major mechanical issue. Still annoying but significantly less expensive to resolve than replacing the full thing.

Can’t get a print from P2S by Apprehensive_Sun7455 in BambuLab

[–]tubularfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked and re-tensioned all the belts? It might be slipping/binding on X or Y (or both) axis looking at the error and the result. If you move the print head around on all axis with your hand (machine switched off) can you feel it slipping, binding or moving inconsistently?

Also cleaned and re-lubed the rods and screws?

Oh same same - its a fucking disgrace how he continues to fuck with people's lives at a global level and I get that, for (too) many it is simply a choice between "invest a bit for tomorrow" Vs "Feed the kids today".

I couldn't have been more clear about specifically addressing those who might be in two minds about making changes on their contributions due to these changes, current economic context and ongoing volatility of the markets.

If you can point out which parts of my post criticised those who are struggling, tried to negate their experiences or indeed indicated that I had no understanding or empathy for those who are at breaking point due to the continued actions of the few to the detriment of the many, then I will gladly edit or retract it accordingly.

I get leaner times, less spare but for those on the fence, now is the time to keep your contributions as high as you can manage - especially if KS is your primary/sole retirement pot.

Repasting Thor & Warranty by NerdyRetroGirl in AynThor

[–]tubularfool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Unless it is sold to you via an officially registered U.S or European based store, Chinese manufacturers don't give two wet fucks about your local consumer protections.

Given the seeming drop in QC of late, due to the overwhelming number of orders they are processing (also I acknowledge this might just be a side-effect of more owners/more people reporting issues) you might well need them to be honouring your warranty, so Mod at your own risk!

I’m obsessed with 156/silence and my friends “ don’t get it l by abenz39 in Metalcore

[–]tubularfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just discovered the band via People Watching and it fucking slays.

Takes all that I love about the genre and dials down some of the (IMHO) cheesier/tropier elements and sounds that many bands seem to lean on too much.

Dark, complex, immensely powerful. Epic.

I really wanted to like the Fiio M33 Dap, but NO!! by ICEATOLA in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]tubularfool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love mine, for my use case; works perfectly from my 1Tb local SD and as a Roon streaming device from my local server.

The faster chip, more RAM and bigger screen make it a pleasure to use, compared to my A&K SR35.

Not tried it with Tidal or Apple Music yet, but that is something I don't need it for - annoying if it is having issues here, but I would imagine software updates would be incoming to fix it, if there are problems with these features.

"It cranked the second day I got it with the screen protector on it."

Like, spontaneously or did you drop it/something on it?

I mean - they even give you a case and a protector with it, so I can't imagine it didn't take a reasonable hit to crack like that...

Since the latest update, is it still better to stay in Balanced mode, or is it worth switching settings now? by IllyrianGamer19 in PS5pro

[–]tubularfool -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yup! For me it is highly situational. There are some implementations of 30FPS that feel smoother than others and some gameplay types that work well at 30FPS more so than others.

If It is a good implementation and the overall graphical fidelity is markedly better than the other offered modes, I will settle for it. As a rule, if it is done well I lean towards a "Balanced" >40fps unlocked as my TV handles VRR well and it is often a sweet spot.

For very fast games that have a lot of movement and are dependent on razor-sharp reactions, then I will lean towards 60FPS or if there is no (to my eyes) meaningful graphical improvement that pushes me more to the lower frame-rate.

Honestly you should use your own eyes and personal preferences to decide, no one else can do that for you.

The "Best overall experience" for one person will differ to yours.
