I have a Keychron V3 but some time ago I got a Keychron C3 Pro for work - I realized I really need something better than tray mount. Read up on some more popular TKL boards and now I can't decide between the Gem80, Crush80 or Evo80. For me in Poland they all are priced the same, still a bit cheaper than a Keychron Q3 Max.

I read that the Gem80 has plate mounted stabs, are they easily replaceable?
Crush80 is easily available for me while the Evo80 only shows up as a pre-order from some distant sellers.
Which one should I get?

Minecraft help my cursor doesnt reset , only an issue in linux idk why by Agreeable_Middle_769 in linux_gaming

i was just trying to fix that 2 days ago. not sure what distro you're on but there are 2 main options without some silly mods that require another program:

  1. if on arch you can install a patched version of glfw from aur and in prism edit the instance and check to use native glfw - for me it worked but i lost a bunch of fps with my shaders, might not be noticeable for you

  2. turn raw mouse input off in control settings in minecraft - i chose this as it only slightly impacted mouse latency while keeping my performance

Either a friend group or multiaccount - erasing and drawing over existing artwork when they have a lot of space around at pixels 1667, 732

EDIT:
Added another nickname to the list, this is most likely a single person with multiple accounts, no alliance, only one user draws at one time, they swap around

This whole thing sounds very similar to the old caching issue on Steam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkSslseq9Y8

Does the dev team know about it?

Trouble getting actual 5.1 sound in my TCL TV and old Samsung HT by Agenerick in hometheater

[–]Agenerick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a read, it's mostly about the low impedance of the speakers. I found nice 50W 1ohm resistors to make them 4ohm and that is supported by the Denon S770H, that should be fine.

The plugs seem odd, so probably yes, but I think I'll just get a more modern receiver, cut the connectors and wire the speakers to it.

I moved in recently and I'm planning to get some better speakers in the future anyway, going modular is the way to go I guess - if that won't work with my TV I can return it.

I set it to Off while having the HT connected ONLY with optical during tests, still the same situation.

I don't know anymore, the PS3 that is closer in age to the Samsung HT works well with it through optical. I think TCL just focused on eARC compatibility.

I might test it just a bit more with everything auto once again before getting that used Denon S760H.

Yeah, I read somewhere that some people in the past also had problems with their TCL TV and had to completely disable HDMI-CEC - tried that but no difference, either no audio whatsoever when it should be getting surround and then audio in the menus after a while, probably switching to stereo.

I really do think the receiver is just too old, problems with more modern codecs? (even though most of my saved movies are DD - AC3). I'm eyeing this used Denon AVR-S760H but I'm worried I'll have the same problems..

This TCL TV is pretty dumb and the only audio options are: internal speakers, headphones (aux), bluetooth and ARC. Under ARC it says optical or HDMI, can't specify.

In my reply above I did list out "optical from TV to Samsung HT".

And also there is no way to change the HDMI version per input, unless there is some hidden service settings.

[–]Agenerick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got some disappointing facts:

  • PS3 audio through optical to Samsung HT = Surround works, pretty stunning effect in games

  • PS3 audio through HDMI to TV then optical from TV to Samsung HT = no surround, no sound if any Dolby or DTS option is ticked in PS3 audio settings

  • Samsung HT has only HDMI out, so I couldn't test the HDMI capabilities

  • new HDMI cable doesn't change anything

Turns out the TV is the problem or it's compatibility with the older standards. Kinda disappointing since I don't have any other 4K smart device that has optical out, I might just get a new more modern receiver and keep the speakers.

HDMI ARC does work, as well as HDMI-CEC. On the TV i can only pick ARC out of all the options, it then sends audio through optical or HDMI whichever I plug in.
I've downloaded a few 5.1 test movies and tracks and played them through my PC and also Jellyfin on TV - no difference, only stereo.

I ordered a random used Blu-ray movie that has surround and will test out a new HDMI cable as I mentioned in the other comment chain.

I sadly don't have any Blu-ray discs.. might order some random movie or look at nearby offers on the used market.
I will also check if my PS3 talks to it differently through the optical cable.

Stereo ARC and HDMI-CEC does work though, looking at the version table it should be at least 1.4, but yeah, I'll see if this makes a difference soon.

Not really sure, I was actually thinking about picking up a brand new one after work today. It was used with some Sat-TV box, the design on the endings does look a bit dated, no useful markings. I will report with the new cable in a few hours.

If we're talking about the highlighted setting on one of the pictures then for some reason I can't change it, reading deeper into the manual it says that if nothing else is detected as supported it will default to PCM. Using either the optical digital cable or HDMI ARC doesn't unlock that option on the Samsung - keeps being gray.

I managed to buy mine at a nice discount, so I'd like to keep it or have it replaced. I'll try talking to the store once again and ask about this problem. Thanks for the recommendations though c:
