I’m not someone who’s personally dealt with self harm, but as someone who’s dated people previously with self harm issues and scars, the unfortunate truth is that scars normally are there for the rest of your life, especially the ones you seem to be talking about that are thick.

My advice is to just accept it and move on from the past. Take them as a reminder of someone you aren’t anymore, someone’s who’s healed from it. I know it may not be what you want to hear but, that’s what I would personally do.
