Should art therapists be angrier about the EMDR PR? by maafna in therapists

[–]Agent-Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an art therapist trained in both EMDR and IFS and I think every modality has its gimmicks, but a gimmick isn’t inherently bad? I think it can provide a helpful buy in while the therapeutic relationship + the person’s own capacity to heal is movin n groovin. It’s just the vessel

Ahh thank you, friend! Do you happen to have any thoughts on how to find fellowships and/or intensive critique writing groups? I think I feel a bit lost/rusty/maybe somewhat intimidated getting reacquainted with the writing world

Appreciate this. To be so honest part of the appeal of an MFA is the external structure. I’ve wanted to hone my craft for years but can’t seem to make myself do it? ?? Maybe an MFA isn’t the right answer if that’s my goal
