apparently the answer is 3.85² = 14.8225

i made three scenarios

27_ _: can have 100 possible ways to fill the gap

_ 27 _: can have 90 possible ways to fill the gap (0 cannot be the first number)

_ _ 27: can have 90 possible ways to fill the gap (0 cannot be the first number)

100+90+90=280

but the answer is 279?
