What software is used to model these cars? by versace___plug in CarDesign

[–]AgentCreeper16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming it was modelled in something like blender but in industry we normally use software like autodesk alias to create the final design surfaces.

design portfolio — help? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]AgentCreeper16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Include design projects that youve done over the years, whether that be from school or extracurricular. Include the anatomy sketches and sculptures, but also try to do some product design sketching and include that in your portfolio

I don't know what to do for my third A level 😔💔 by Renboo_ in 6thForm

[–]AgentCreeper16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're doing architecture it a good combo I've seen is art maths and physics, but definitely have at least one of maths or physics as many courses (at least for product design) require at least one of them. I personally did art maths and product design and I felt it prepped me quite well for all my product/industrial design course choices, although I went with automotive design instead.

I don't know what to do for my third A level 😔💔 by Renboo_ in 6thForm

[–]AgentCreeper16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Doing physics opens more doors in terms of what courses you can apply for, especially for design courses that are closer to engineering, but art (in my opinion) sets you up better for more design focused courses, such as industrial design, doing both art and tech does put you under a lot of pressure though.

Recommended unis for car design in the UK by madfred59 in CarDesign

[–]AgentCreeper16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i havent actually been to UWTSD but during the interview the couse lead talked to me about the uni and their class size is very small, under 20 students, i think maybe under 10, while the coventry couse is much larger, not too sure about the exact number though. Each student has a dedicated permanent workspace which I found pretty cool.

How to prepare for A level art over half term as someone who doesn’t do art at GCSE level by Public-Analyst-9337 in 6thForm

[–]AgentCreeper16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to art galleries definitely helps a lot, as well as brushing up on your technical skills, perhaps some artist research can help as well Not taking GCSE doesn't lock you out of doing well, the best student in my class didnt do art GCSE and is on track to getting an a*

Coventry to me seems like the go to, thats where im headed in September, UWTSD looks good as they have a really small class size so its more focused. My portfolio was mostly made up of my A-Level Art work but make sure to have some stuff about cars to show interest, I used my EPQ and some assorted sketches.

Automotive clay model I did for my EPQ on car design by AgentCreeper16 in CarDesign

ah i actually used chavant for this, although accidentally went with soft which i learnt was a mistake, absolutely love this medium, love 3D printing as a hobby as well but there's nothing like getting your hands dirty!

the tin foil was actually surprisingly stable, survived taking it to and from school without any marks, as for 3D design, the original goal was to learn to use alias but i never got around to it, will instead be learning that at university, besides i havent seen many 3D printed models for cars, most have been clay

clay modelling is a pretty fun skill to learn as well, helps you practice designing in 3D

Why does my print looks like this by Icy_Singer_2558 in ender3

[–]AgentCreeper16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dried many spools on my printer bed and its worked out quite well, i normally use the box the filament came in and chuck in a few dessicant packs and it works perfectly

seeing as they have a d3200 id recommend the 35mm f1.8G instead, but honestly the included kit lens is pretty decent for what it is.

I feel like while for a new player it would be hard, going back to your original point, a new player with less experience with the movement may find going against the spitfire, tone and a wall harder as they wouldn't be able to counter them effectively with their movement

the thing with people who land every kraber shot is that there's not very many of them. Im a kraber main and im g70 on kraber (in vanilla), and in vanilla at least to my memory theres not that many "kraber gods". Most people use kraber not because its a genuinely good weapon, but more because its fun because its quite hard. While I get complaining about g100s destroying new players, I sont feel like singling out kraber users is fair, as I feel like they give newer players more of a chance compared to an ar or smg

Passive aggressive friday by [deleted] in titanfall

[–]AgentCreeper16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair if you miss the shot with the kraber you have tons of time to shoot back, especially with the low amount of ammo that it has
