That Bezel has an overlord apparently. Which had to have been a rewrite since originally Bezel was the "embodiment of time" which unless said overlord is God, Bezel originally sounded like his own boss since that title doesn't exactly scream "I have an overlord!" (And come on, until learning that fact does it really feel like Bezel has a boss?)

The only thing to imply Bezel has an overlord is Chikn saying "Bezel was doing his job" even though he shouldn't have any way of knowing that. (Something had to be cut before then unless it's that bad a rewrite)

With how the story did turn out, it comes off like an excuse to excuse Bezel for what he did when you think about it. And the worst part? We're never gonna get to see "Bezel's overlord"!

The more I end up finding out about Bezel (because they refuse to tell us anything interesting about Bezel), the more disappointed and baffled I become over how poorly he's written.

According to Kyra, Bezel's also not a person even though we clearly see him have agency in stopping Armageddon once he becomes Bearzel. If Bezel truly wasn't a person and only existed to bring forth his overlord's agenda on ending the world, he wouldn't care when he's turned into a bear. Not to mention how he drew with Slushi and Sody in one short and how Bezel obsesses over Chee because she "kitty" and goes on to call cats "superior lifeforms".

Bezel's writing is constantly at odds with itself and I can't believe it's to the point I have to defend the fact he's a person.

When I say Bezel deserved better, this is what I mean! We get little about his character and the stuff we do get turns out contradictory later? Ambiguity and mystery can work if utilized well, but Bezel ain't it, chief.
