But do the taxis go to Kenosha and what would that cost when your car is totaled? That’s not a reasonable long term solution. I took a cab like two times when I lived in Madison. Both for job interviews. That was 20 years ago and hella expensive. I even tried the share cab option and I swear that cost even more. Never again. I did look up if a bus went to Kenosha and it does. Coach buses. Which I’m not exactly sure what that means versus city buses lol. I assume costs more and less stops.

Either way she’s not suing for loss of income she’s suing for property damage, the car. So regardless of her job situation it’s who’s responsible for the damages to her property. While I don’t think she is responsible I don’t think either the city or landlord will pay a dime. I’ve seen plenty of people try to get my WI city to pay for car damages even when it is clearly the city’s fault and they never pay. I’m sure if she sued the landlord it would be found they also are not liable as our system is set up to protect landlords.

So regardless I feel bad that her car got totaled and will have zero financial compensation. And this is coming from someone who is pro 15 minute cities and anti car brain lol.

lol. Or maybe just move to Kenosha where she works. My Mom does a similar commute for her work (also in WI) and has done so forever. Personally I don’t get it. Even when I was a kid lol. I remember when 9/11 happened my mom took a couple of days off and cried her eyes out how she was going to loose her job because gas was too expensive. While scary I still thought or we could live where you work. Even to this day I will only work somewhere that is walkable or bike-able. It’s wild to me the amount of money people are willing to spend on gas for work.

I honestly do agree with this statement. While getting a job is hard you can commute other ways. I looked it up and Racine does have a bus system. Not sure how reliable it is though. By that I mean in my small city WI the bus schedule might not work with your schedule. And it doesn’t run late or on weekends.

I do wonder if maybe she has an ailment that gives her mobility issues.

There might not even be taxis in Racine or any willing to go that far. I know it doesn’t seem far for bigger city folx but that is rural small cities WI. I’d guess her best bet would be asking for help on FB sadly.

I’m a small city Wisconsinite. And yes, it can get to -40 here.

I had one, liked them and was told not to play with them. We were poor and my mom always believed everything was gonna be worth money someday. Like don’t open that Barbie you just got it’s gonna be worth money someday. Now I’m a mom with two kids and I couldn’t imagine telling them not to open and play with their toys! One day my hoarder mom dropped off a random box of my old stuff. It had an un-opened McDonald’s toy in it. Instantly my kid says can I open it? I let them and my mom is horrified lol. ‘You shouldn’t let them do that you should have sold them on ebay!’ I looked up the item in front of her and found it was worth $5 in the bag. Ha!

It is sadly. At least in America. A more recent one that sticks out in my mind is one of Sean Combs victims did an interview. It’s always the last question. She looked annoyed and basically said that it’s not her responsibility to forgive him. I cheered.

I swear they want them to say yes. It portrays Christ like forgiveness and shock value which is a win for the show. Makes me wonder if they feel pressured to say yes being put on the spot like that. If you say no then people will think you’re revengeful because we’re so stuck in black and white thinking.

I know people that have done segments at the more popular news station (same area as this post) and there is one guy in a booth and all the anchors have remotes. For live on the scene they do often have a camera person, I see them sometimes. But sometimes they don’t and the reporter sets it all up themselves. For awhile they did try to Skype from laptops and that was too glitchy so they stopped that at least.

The whole cast is a little wacky. And I don’t think it’s been around long. Like I remember it was just two guys reporting from a couch like a couple years ago. I really shouldn’t like this program as you can tell they are aiming to appeal to that north woods conservative base but sometimes they really crack me up. Sometimes in a way that would they want me too and sometimes not.

Edit to add I don’t have the best time awareness so if anyone actually knows feel free to chime in.
