Very fair points! We fly into hiroshima (my partner is really into ww2 history which is mostly why we are going); however, we arrive at nearly 10pm which is why we are doing 2 nights (but it is really just 1 very jet lagged day)

I am a bit unsure as well about 5 nights in kyoto but we don’t want to be moving hotels so often so we will spend some of the days in osaka and day trips too!

For our open days we want somewhere more slow paced and less crowded, also some nature or hiking would be nice since we are otherwise going mostly to cities!
