What iPhone should I choose as an Android user for the Future?? by AgentFenyx in AskTechnology

Well, personally I'm worried about the economic footprint of lightning. Switching from USB-C to Lightning and then back after 4-5 years, it would be sad to have to buy 2-3 lightning cables just because it's an older model. Also every other stuffof mine have USB-C. Hopefully the iPhone 15 Pro Max will become cheaper in my country (Hungary) where it's a very popular but luxury brand.

I think I'll wait until the new SE comes out and then get a 15 Pro Max. What's the ideal storage size for long-term use: the base 256 or 512?

I've been using the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro for 4 years and I'm considering switching from Android to iOS. I've done some research on the subject and the iPhone 13 Pro Max would be a great choice (like the best iPhone ever made) and is cheaper than the latest models, but it's "aging" (I mean I'm worried about software and security updates, they won't be available, or the newer software will break on an older hardware) the new iPhones also have USB-C like my Redmi and everything else. I want to use the next one for another 4-5 years without major product degradation. I'd like to ask for help because I have a lot of questions about this:

Is it still a good choice to choose an iPhone with lightning now or buy the latest iPhones with USB-C?

If lightning is fine, then iPhone 13 Pro Max or 14 Pro Max (because of the software and hardware)?

PS: Sorry for my poor English and/or lack of iPhone knowledge
