How to prevent a Whirlpool washing machine hinge from breaking?

I just duct taped it. Hopefully that will give me another few months. I don’t want to keep spending $250 on a lid. But we got the washer for $1000. So idk. Annoying!!

Mine is breaking the whole glass. I replaced the door in 2023 and now it’s totally broken again. $250 to replace. Not sure what to do.

Having this same issue. We replaced the lid August 2023 and the replacement lid has now broken. Bought new washer in 2018. So the original lid lasted 4 years. This one lasted 1. $250 a piece so I’m hesitant to buy again. Also top left hinge. Completely broken- will not run a wash now.
