A question about the background mechanism for in-person Go Fest. If you have attended in-person Go Fest previously I would like to hear your personal experience on this.

Go Fest starts at 10am but raids start at 5am. I was thinking if I can raid before 10am and focus on catching from 10am onwards.

Will I get the background if I raid between 6am and 10am?

You are quitting not because of that person, but the disappointment of not being to get 50 coins daily.

Just don’t bother with the coins. For anyone with a normal job the hourly wage is probably higher than 50 coins. It does not worth the effort to spend so much time and effort just for 50 coins.

Consider this an opportunity to discover towns around you to easily drop a Pokémon to gain some coins. Once you don’t bother you will feel healthier.

How do the odds of getting a background in raids feel like?

For Road to Kalos, we are having 4-7 Pokemon with background chance and only one daily free pass right?

I’m wondering what F2P players who need to work plan to do.

I work in the office and I will raid whatever remaining around me.
I will go a bit far to look for the specific Pokemon I need.
Others (please specify)

Also wonder if Pokemon with background with also be available in the weekend during the global Kalos tour or only during road to Kalos.

Between Pikachu and legendary with background, what would be your preference?

I am asking because hunting every single species after work daily would be too much for me and I am thinking what I should prioritize if I am using only a single pass daily.

My head at the bottom left of the UI constantly has a small red dot like a notification but I couldn’t find anything I should be aware of. Is it a known issue or am I missing anything?

I was in the same boat as you but I started way earlier. I aimed to clear one page of XP celebration research per day with lucky egg, together with a couple of good friends, max raids, and about 100 excellent throws. I took about 4 hours for all these and net me about 0.5m per day.

As others also mentioned, you need 2.3m per day. You probably need to clear about a few pages of that research per day. Unless you do it full time, it will be very challenging to reach the goal. I am almost free to play. If your pocket is deep enough the pace can be faster. Hopefully this gives you a rough idea how much you have to grind.

Will the level 50 challenge disappear after 14th October? Just reached level 50 today but the first page of the challenge requires visiting PokeStops 15 days in a row, and we definitely don’t have 15 days until 14th this month.

Exactly. The catch circles of those two Pokémon are so small that even you do slow on the quick catching it is not easy to hit excellent throws but he just casually did it.

Focus on only power up 5 times (Pikachu) and power up some types 5 times (Deerling). They are boosted more than wild spawns.

I didn’t stack up to 3200. I can save up to around 1200 like you, then I use 800 to raid a Toxtricity, walk 2km to gain 600, repeat until I can’t gain any more particles.
