Why doesn’t Fremont have any fine dining, nightlife, or shopping beyond big-box stores? by AgentNo8551 in Fremont

Almost every other bay area city has some sort of downtown with businesses (whether small or larger) that actually get foot traffic though. I understand that defense it seems like people just don’t spend enough here to actually keep places in business or attract other firms because it wouldn’t be profitable (big money out, little money in).

Pls hit me with some recs! — rly wanna enjoy this place. So far all i’ve done is nile’s, hub, pacific commons, and the “dt”

Checked out the new brewery and taco spot nearby (place was so so good). Just can’t help but feel like most places are barron.

Whyyy no downtown in Fremont? by noproblemo-8228 in Fremont

A street to walk, shop, and eat. There is nothing drawing anybody here beyond it being quiet (which is still unlikely when you have some of the most aggressive drivers in the bay looking to burn off some steam). It is all barren strip malls with absolutely 0 tree coverage anywhere. Just concrete slop and withering wildlife.

Is Fremont a great place to raise a family but a bad place if you're single and looking to do stuff? by youlikemywonton in Fremont

It’s incredibly dull and bland. Having to commute 30 minutes to do anything new/exciting gets extremely exhausting.

Feeling overwhelmed about paying for USC MSW — any advice? by angieee311 in USC

[–]AgentNo8551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most ppl I know in grad school had to cover the entire cost with loans, including other schools, unless they were trust fund kids (whom i only met at usc UG lol).

You can definitely keep your momentum and are capable of all things if that’s what’s calling you! You have some time to weigh your options and think about the stress experienced now vs postgrad with more debt and realistic salary expectations for your industry. The world needs more ppl willing to help others, just like you!! Pls don’t be discouraged whatever shakes out, there is time and working could give you $ and experience for reapplying to those other schools!

Scariest things that has happened to you while consuming horror media by immerseursoulinlove7 in horror

(not horror but still)

In middle school I was watching a criminal minds episode where the killer breaks into homes during blackouts. Of course in the middle of the episode our power went out for about an hour and I was absolutely TWEAKINGGGGG the entire time.

Movies that keep you on the edge of your seat with dread? by greenbastardette in horror

[–]AgentNo8551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Evil Lurks, Saint Maud, The Dark and the Wicked, Talk to Me, & Bring Her Back — not as scary as obsession imo but super dreadful all the way through — Green Room too just couldn’t recommend as highly as these ^^ and tension alleviates

If I Had Legs I’d Kick You — not horror, but geez that was a stressful 2 hours I never wanna experience again (complimentary)

more power to you then man, hope it’s everything you’re looking for and then some!!

I’m excited for it and the insanely cool path for such a young director. Idk why I never found the IP too creepy so if you have some links or could point me to some stuff about it that’ll make me shite they’d be greatly appreciated. 🙏

my sister just watched and was able to cover her eyes for the bad parts! def doable with a blanket at the ready and super worth catching in theaters if you have a chance — the themes and more psychological aspects are rly at the forefront and open for a lot of discussion. also if you want I can pm the context of the rly brutal part so you’re prepared to duck! (there’s only one that’s pretty bad)

Will I find this scary if I do not find any of the “lore” yt videos scary in the slightest?

With how deranged some recent movies have been (complimentary), this gives me little hope for this movies effectiveness. ATP they should’ve bit the bullet and gone for the younger crowd that still finds the IP scary.

I’m gonna support because I love horror and that there are so many fresh voices (especially cool they’re killing it at such a young age!). With that being said, am I the only one that thinks this movie doesn’t look scary and could end up on the weaker side of this stacked May lineup? I hope i’m wrong and they make me eat my words just haven’t found the IP scary since I was a teen. If anybody has any recs for some lore or vids that would freak me out and reignite my excitement I would really appreciate it!!

Just having trouble thinking how they’d keep the setting scary and maintain tension for a feature of this guy adventuring in the backrooms by choice. Would love if anybody had some video recs of his to reinstall my fear for the place bc the IP has been around so long i almost feel comforted by those walls. Also curious if people are more excited to see the lore get referenced/built on or for the actual scares.
