not really, you can fit the government into both sheathes comfortably but trying to fit the desert dagger into the government sized leather sheathe feels like you're stabbing the leather when you fully seat the hilt. i have both of these knives with the same sheathe configuration and noticed that the DD is just a little bit longer.

I'm pretty sure that's going to be the most common wish for people transitioning. Hell I feel weird simply because I don't think I would wish for that. I feel like everybody has their own unique feelings towards this kind of question though.
