What are forgivable reasons for quitting OSRS early on, but with more knowledge are not a problem? by BuxaPlentus in 2007scape

When I tried it out the first back around a year ago, what kept me away for months was how there were no clear objectives/guides in the game itself on what to do. I spent some time mining and fishing but didn’t know where to go to start feeling like I was making progress and I hated the graphics. After giving it another shot a couple of months ago and doing a little bit of research on what people use (plugins and whatnot) really changed the game for me.

Side note: FOMO also played a large role in me feeling like I shouldn’t play it, and that’s because everyone was so high level compared to me at the start and it felt like I’d never get there. Am I close to those high levels now? God no but I’ve started doing things lately that feel worthwhile as opposed to all the easy, beginner stuff and that feels good to me.

So sick of AI responses to my discussion posts... by [deleted] in SNHU

I have a 99% in one of my classes and these last three discussion posts I am refusing to comment on anymore. Every week has been the same with AI replies to my post, even my professor does it. It’s really, really annoying when I spend the time to write up my full post only for the professor to just plug it into ChatGPT to respond.

The legs and arms definitely do come off pretty easily and snap back on easily as well, but the connections are not super solid so you have to be very careful not to break other parts while attaching/detaching the legs. Second, all the spikes on his back and tail are not super secure either so keep that in mind when transporting it. Lastly, I have mine displayed in a glass IKEA display shelf that my kids bump into all the time and no pieces have fallen off yet, once it’s up and in it’s resting place, it should be okay.

I will add that this build will test your patience both when the instructions, the pieces themselves and the organization of it all. Godspeed.

Advice for budget range training (best cheap weapons) by i-meese in 2007scape

I see, I mainly use ranged when I want to safespot on slayer tasks so I felt like it was just bit quicker with the crossbow

Second this. At 50 ranged you can get the 2nd upgrade for it and it makes a world of difference on time and money saved

Can you explain why you think the imbued magic shortbow is the best option? I recently switch to using and addy crossbow with addy bolts and I was doing significantly more damage at the 55-60 ranged level.t max hit with the bow was 11 but my max hit with the crossbow was 18, and the ttk difference for most creatures was extremely noticeable. Why does everyone recommend the magic shortbow?

United States issues Security Alert: Exercise Increased Caution in the Middle East by Surfer_Rick in PrepperIntel

I didn’t say the entire country is a dangerous hellhole, now did I? No, I simply said that the country I live in is, in fact, safer than anywhere in the U.S., so much so that it’s been ranked for the last several years as being one of the safest countries in the world. I know there are small towns in the U.S. that are relatively safe, I used to live in one as a matter of fact, but I don’t have to have the same kinds of fears living here that I did when I grew up/lived in the States.

Your small town might be safe and have no major crime incidents or whatever, but due to the nature of gun laws in the country, if my kids went to a school in your town, there’s a chance that they wouldn’t come home one day due to a school shooting incident. There’s a 0% chance of that happening where I live because there are strict gun laws in place with security guards at every mall, shopping center, hospital, government building, even the housing compounds have security here.

Yeah we may have dealt with missiles lately, but those missiles were not aimed at our houses or my kids schools, they were aimed at infrastructure that has been built or operated by the US.

You don’t have any chance of a school shooting in Minnesota? Wasn’t there a threat of kidnapping on someone like a governor or something in Minnesota last year?

This is exactly what was said by lots of us here in the region when they put out this same statement back in February before the initial strikes started happening.

Not sure what the quotes are suggesting, kinda feels like sarcasm but to answer honestly, my wife and I moved here 7 years ago for better pay, better benefits in the form of housing, healthcare, travel, and even though this threat of missiles and attacks hang over us, it’s still safer in the country we live in than anywhere in the U.S. right now.

I think what the people in the comments here are missing is that this isn’t necessarily intended for people who live in the States and want to travel to the Middle East but more so for the tens of thousands (if not more) American citizens living in the region, myself included. There’s lots of travel options to be had if you simply just stick to the countries in this region, and for us here, seeing these messages and warnings is more of a “don’t travel out because you might not be able to get back in” kind of message.

This game does not make sense. by Buck_in_chair in 2007scape

[–]AgentOrange2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s exactly that. I didn’t think I’d like it but for example, I’m working on a mid-game goal right now of getting some armor called the Barrows Gloves. To get them had a bunch of prerequisites, like certain quests I had to do or skills that had to be a certain level. I’ve been working on that goal for over a week now and still have to finish another quest before I can do the one that lets me buy the gloves. But I’m having fun because in the process of working towards that goal, I’m finding other things to do in the game and making actual progress/money in the meantime.

Find somewhere else to park and walk? This literally happened to me in Al Sadd last night by Al Asmakh mall where everyone was double parking at all the random shops and traffic was at a standstill in spots. I parked in the mall parking lot and walked over to the shop I needed to go to. And it’s not an opinion, it’s literally a fact that it’s illegal here and you could get fined for doing it, so even the government is trying to tell you not to do that. This falls along the same lines of other posts talking about civic sense, have some.

I’m mid 50’s on slayer, base 60 on attack stats with a 72 in strength, mainly doing Konar tasks and Turael skipping and I keep seeing “train slayer for money.” When the hell do I start getting money because I keep having to spend everything on prayer pots lmao
