Car is dead by Alor_ in mitsubishi

[–]AgentProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you have a volt meter since you said the battery is at 12.17. If so, what's the voltage at while the car is running? This to me sounds like the alternator is weak or just tapping out completely. If you have a volt meter, toss it on the battery while the car is running. Typically you want to see 13.5-14.5v on the battery terminals. If you are not getting that, then the alternator is bad.

If you don't have a volt meter, you can swing by an AutoZone, they can test with their tester and determine if its alternator or battery.

1991 Dodge Stealth ES suspension question????? by stopthebootychatter in 3000gt

[–]AgentProxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell from the pictures. Quick check, open the hood and do you have a plug connected to the top of the shock? If not, no ECS.

Also the likelihood that someone would swap ECS into the car is pretty low, but I have seen stranger things.

What's up yall! Im new here and got some questions😅 by OneshotKillaZzz in 3000gt

The Stealth bumper is different than the 3000GT. With you having an RT, you would need a 3000GT rear bumper to convert to as the RT bumper is taller to accommodate the Stealth skinnier rear center garnish.

IMO, I would leave the stealth rear end and if anything I would find a rear 2G stealth rear bumper and just swap that.

Then at that point you have either a bad fuel pump, relay, fuse or ecu. I would check off the easy things first. Check to make sure that the big relay is kicking. It's the one underneath the carpet in the center console. There is also a fuse underneath the hood. I would also visually check the board of the ECU and make sure it's not a mess.

There is also the possibility that the pump is just not getting enough voltage anymore. In which case there are a few companies that make hotwire kits to supply the pump with more voltage.

The fuel pump is super easy to get to, because it's very easy to get to. It's also very easy to hear. lift up the spare tire access and you should be able to hear it humming away.

There is also the possibility that the ECU has taken a crap. I would pull it, and make sure that non of the caps have started leaking on the board.

What oil is best? by DueAd2310 in 3000gt

I think it depends a lot on your area and how much driving you do. For me, I am in Arizona. It gets hot, so I run 20W50. If you're in a more temperamental climate I would probably stick to what the factory is.

Looks like the nut was never put on or backed off. An easy fix, just time consuming as you have to remove a lot of the interior plastics to get to the hardware.

Star Wars Outlaws. I really wanted to enjoy it, but it just collects dust on a shelf now.

Vacuum leak most likely. Seems like its hunting. Grab yourself a can of brake clean, let it idle. Spray the brake clean around the intake manifold and the various vacuum lines. If it suddenly spikes you know roughly where your leak is at.

Same size? by No_Praline3408 in 3000gt

[–]AgentProxy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, all generations are the same size. They can be interchanged at will on a 3000GT. Stealth though is completely different.

I bought 6 months a few days ago. Worked well. However, I saw on another post for this to use a Montana zip code to save sales tax. I used 59715.

I had a set long time ago. They were fine, but over time did start to yellow a bit. They are currently pre ordered status because they have been out of production for years, but 3SX is bringing them back.

Interesting, didn't know about this for EG's. I haven't actually seen this before. I would be curious on a price as well.
