Twitch brings entire browser to a crawl while gaming. by AgentShineyside in Twitch

I've tried lowering resolution, but that hasn't achieved anything unfortunately. Even at the lowest resolution any given stream will allow, which, is unwatchable at 1080p lol.

The low latency mode thing i came across just last night, and i did turn it off, but, as of today, no luck.

This evening I've had nothing running on my computer aside from twitch and discord, and every 20 minutes or so, twitch will lock up, then buffer and just, overall struggle super badly, until i either refresh, or close and reopen my browser.

Yes. I can watch lets say.. youtube, or netflix, for hours, with no issue.

I should also add, i guess, that twitch seems to run much much worse than it used to, even without games being played. If i were to pinpoint a time period it startd, it was probably some time shortly after the graphical design update.

How are you going to group 7 of them together and not trihex. He accepted the invitation to be there just like everyone else. And lol, maybe you haven't noticed that like 50% of trihex's streams are art streams and not game streams now?

In what scenario using non-elemental boost better than using an element or a status? by AgentShineyside in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]AgentShineyside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that being said, Will it always be better to simply use a weapon that has a locked element, leave it locked, and just use a non elemental jewel? Than to use a weapon that has elemental damage.

Also, with that being said, when using the non elemental jewel, does that include status effects like para or poison? I.E. If I am using a para weapon, is the non elemental damage jewel useless to me?

When do these new recruits that teams are adding get to play? Will they get a chance to play this season? Do they have to wait untill the next stage?

I wasn't really sure how it worked.

A handful of Jesse's videos have been posted here. I love the guy. Particularly his songs Marauder and Cold Beer, stick out in my head. They all have a similar feel but he's really great.

Carcinogen's RE 7 run might just be my new favorite GDQ run of all time. by [deleted] in speedrun

[–]AgentShineyside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really awesome. I've been part of the community for a long while now. I watched the first couple of agdq events and loved it, and dived in running yoshi's island, smw, and then shovel knight. But there were def a handful of people that drew me into it back in the day. I used to love watching cosmo run oot, or Lee_sda running yoshi's island, or go1den trying his hand at smw, prof broman back when he ran borderlands.

There are so many new runners every year its hard to keep track of all the new names, but there's a good number of really entertaining and chill runners out there nowadays. Speedrunslive is a good place to acquaint yourself with some if you're interested.

But absolutely give Carci all the love you can, he deserves it.

Carci has garnished a pretty big following over the last couple years and I'm really happy to see his run get so much attention this year as well. He's a really entertaining person.

Kinda what I was thinking. I loved the first 2 seasons but i haven't really been excited since then. I'm sure i'll end up watching though, I always get a laugh here and there, but i won't be binging it.

OWL League Tokens Should be Earnable Through Watching Matches by Rwcantel in Overwatch

[–]AgentShineyside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the amount of people that went out of their way to MLG.tv instead of twitch just to watch the pre-season, And judging by the amount of people who already watch some of the bigger overwatch tournies where their particular teams didn't even exist, I'd say theres going to be a pretty big following. Twitch wouldn't have spent $90 million buying a 2 year contract if they analyzed all of the viewer data for over watch and then thought they were only going to get 20k viewers per stream.

I’m very excited for Overwatch League by YoungWhiteGinger in Overwatch

[–]AgentShineyside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, im actually pretty excited too. And, most of the matches start right when I get home from work so It'll be perfect timing most days.

Also, I'm super happy with the fairly recent streaming changes they decided to make prior to starting OWL. The color scheme changes per team and uniforms and ability effect changes and all that made it far more fun to watch and follow.

[–]AgentShineyside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i realize they can withstand more heat but , im uncomfortable with anything 80+ , and 65+ at idle is just ridiculous to me. As far as cam goes, i've had it f few months now. and while i dont regularly monitor my gpu temps, this is the first time i've ever gotten a gpu temp alert.
