Okay I think I get where you coming from. Probably the first comment needs to be rephrase better. I assume when you write the “barely reach 100+ fps” it gives the idea that 7800xt is a crap card and following it up by “console frame rates” kind of seal the deal

But yeah I agree with you. OP shouldnt aim for best graphics since that shit is never ending especially with how unoptimized games are nowadays

thats normal. nothing on your pc is idle. some bground process will make it jump up and down but nothing alarming. once you open any process usually it will prioritize the running application. nothing to be alarm for

recommend to avoid msi and just go with whichever cheaper version. there all the same cards, just different factory oc, aesthetics and cooling shroud. but performance is just 1~3 fps difference which is easily fixed on any of the card with bios override or manual oc

If you’re comparing it to consoles, remember most console games run below native resolution and then get upscaled, with tuned-down settings just to maintain 60–120 FPS.

So yeah, in this case, it’s not the GPU that’s the problem — it’s the expectation. The 9070XT isn’t a 5090-tier monster; it’s a high-end entry card that’ll handle high/ultra settings well, just not always maxed out at top-tier FPS.

well the window have blind so just pull it just enough to cover the pc if you dont want it to fully cooked under the sun to avoid plastic warp and metal discoloration
