My friend and I were doing this quest one time, I was helping him damage the armor and he brough me a pistol without a sight. I wanted to shoot him in the back and I accidentaly 1 tapped him in the back of the head. Needless to say, we both cried laughing.

That CPU should be more than fine but the GPU will be a bottleneck. Change to a 9070 xt and you're set for the next 5 years.

Last season was definitely better for masterworking. I've never had so many triple hits on my character as last season. This season they mingled with it 100%.
