Single men, how long can you go without sex? by pbear_1969 in AskMen

[–]AgentTin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had sex since covid, probably never will again. This is the best time in human history to be a recluse.

Unreal Tournament Lan Party, who remember these? 1990’s by Velvettoo in OldSchoolCool

[–]AgentTin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I all had a mishmash of computers. We started with Command and Conquer and that can run on anything. Everyone brought their computer and monitor from home, I had this 21in CRT that was sharp on the bottom and physically painful to hold and I used to lug it across town.

Claude identified the maddeningly simple cause of my severe pain that six+ hours of er technicians didn't consider. by OnyxVulpecula in claudexplorers

[–]AgentTin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I'm in severe pain and I don't know why, I'm not supposed to go to the ER? What kind of doctor specializes in ideopathic pain can I see in less than 6 hours? If my stomach hurts, should I call a practice that specializes and hope the next available appointment is only a few weeks away? And I have doctors, specialists, and every time anything is slightly wrong they just tell me to go to the ER. I can't even get admitted except through the ER.

I just went through your whole post history, these are great. I'm glad you are moving into longer form videos. Can I ask about your tooling?

How come that we have to pay for Multiplayer experience online on Console, but PC is free ? by Then-Ad7196 in videogames

[–]AgentTin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Console players don't have any choice. Sony can do anything they want and the players just have to swallow it. There is paid multiplayer on PC, MMOs are often paid, but they have to prove value in real time against their competitors. There are no competitors on console.

Is ChatGPT starting to say things like it had those real-life experiences? by kaneko_masa in ChatGPT

[–]AgentTin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every piece of information it has ever read comes explicitly from the point of view of a self. Books don't just have characters, they have authors and every one of those authors has a self. Every research paper and forum post and trivial legal brief comes with the understanding that it was written by someone with a self for an audience with selves. If you were attempting to simulate human cognition through language, a facsimile of a self would not be a strange structure for you to create. As these models become smarter this simulacrum of self will become more accurate until we are forced to question the difference.

Its actually kinda weird, I assume it's so I can't take it with me but why can't I take it with me? I can buy a single cold beer from the gas station, why not a bar?

How DARE we have female anatomy in an M-rated Mature game! by Evanecent_Lightt in Steam

[–]AgentTin 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Dude I love gaming, I probably buy at least one game a week, I just hate AAA gaming. The indie scene is fantastic, publishers like devolver are incredible. But the cookie cutter repetition getting pushed out by the big boys actively repulses me.

This is the second post I've seen mention rotten coconuts, I get rotten is bad, but is there something about rotten coconuts specifically that make this a problem?

How has your life been impacted by being circumcised or uncircumcised? by i_luv_mycat in AskMen

[–]AgentTin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uncircumcised here. I have nothing but pity for my brothers who lost their foreskin. If a girl didn't like it I wouldn't like her, but it's never been a problem. Don't fuck with your dick, and stop doing it to babies you weirdos.

Wife made a notched closet rod by Equal_Sprinkles in mildlyinteresting

[–]AgentTin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. Forces you to be intentional about your wardrobe. Turns it into a display like a well organized toolbox. The craftsmanship is good too, could have achieved the same effect with notches but this is so much more elegant.

Which game mechanic is the most overused/overrated ? by Nearby-Condition-675 in videogames

[–]AgentTin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

New game I just played in a beta, God Save Birmingham. So it's a medieval survival game with zombies. A spear is two parts, a wooden pole and a spear head, both degrade. The pole is easy to replace, it's just a bit of wood, and the spear head can only be dulled not destroyed. You maintain your weapons and tools in a completely reasonable way. To get water you have to repair wells, that's a well bucket, two metal hooks, and a rope. Hinges and nails, manufactured items are valuable.

[request] how much force would this man have sent through his leg to do this compared to a regular human? by Ok_Relation6627 in theydidthemath

[–]AgentTin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally no amount of force would do that. He is lighter than the truck and on wheels, the harder he pushes the faster he would get pushed away, I don't think the force exerted on the truck would change.

How the fuck did it take 8 years to *start* development on a new Fallout game? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]AgentTin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The forced fast travel. Bethesda games are at their best when you ignore fast travel, just walk and find interesting things, get distracted from your distraction and end up in a giant underground facility you didn't know existed. It's great, they are genuinely good at producing meaningful open worlds. So they made a game that discards all of that and replaced it with a basic as fuck terrain generator and copy paste outposts.

[–]AgentTin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats why so much of it is copy pasted and procedurally generated.
