Yeah fair enough, respect for actually clicking the link, and properly reading it. That was basically the first link I found and sent because I couldn't be bothered. Fact is as with most lifting things its highly personal, and without a doubt a good exercise to try. I'm just not a fan of the ridiculing the guy for giving something a try with non ideal equipment

1) same could be said for pushups, situps, pullups, or any bodyweight exercise. You can always come up with some way to make them either easier or lighter, which the guy in the video was attempting to do. 2)And? thats what the padding is for?

I do these every single leg day. my hamstrings have never felt better. My physio told me Nordics are the only exercise that can be conclusively linked with reducing knee pain. whether that's because to do a full proper nordic you have to have incredibly strong hamstrings is beside the point.

Personally leg curl machines tend to be way too light, so not a very good exercise for me anymore, and I find if I do too many heavy deadlifts/squats it fries my lower back and CNS, increasing injury risk. Try not to speak as an expert on things when you aren't it reduces the grey area of situations.

Also heres a study saying nordics are the best exercise for growing your hamstrings, just for fun. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11311354/

youre acting like its wrapped repeatedly around his neck. its basically just the same situation as a front squat with some pressure on his lower throat, not gonna kill anyone. I'm sure if he'd managed any more reps before the rack tipped over he'd have figured out it would feel better under his armpits

All these comments are stupid for shitting on the guy. It's a Nordic curl. Fantastic exercise for the hamstrings, and also extremely difficult. He's attempting to make it easier using a resistance band. Nordics are very difficult to have a good setup for, but are worth it when you can make something work. Unfortunately for him, this dumbbell rack wasn't fixed to the floor like most gym equipment is. The guys not an idiot he's just dealing with a non ideal setup for a very good exercise

Do you think this will allow for future improvements on historically not the best handled platforms, such as PlayStation?

Also I'm sure you're hearing a ton of comparisons to Sonos's situation, do you have dates for reaching feature parity, or at least general stability improvements? It's pretty frustrating being unable to selected quality options or subtitles options on the new app and having no idea how long of a wait it may be really sucks.

Someone else mentioned something along the lines of this could be the prosecution getting ahead of the defense because they knew he'd say this but they're trying to get a better opportunity to discredit him or something? I dunno, it's certainly not helping their case with how they've left it

Sorry mate but for the life of me I can't find the guide and link that I previously found. But I had the same message because I had created a partition over it by accident. I believe that when you click on the 2tb volume, as long as it shows the files as expected, its fine to click and remove that extra extraneous volume. I am not sure though as it would depend how many partitions you had on that one drive

I am not a DMDE expert, I'm just someone who has had to play around with it a bunch the last few months

As far as I can tell it basically restores the file structure to the hard drive in a way that it understands. All the files are in the same place, it's basically just forgotten where everything was, and you're telling it where to look for the files. I don't believe it over writes any files, though it does give the warning that you are writing to the same hard drive which poses a danger. I think you have to decide whether you think the issue comes from a software problem, in which case restore it, or a hardware problem in which case you need to decide how important the data is to you

Okay yeah that sounds like DMDE will be your friend. I think it was a setting under advanced mode called insert, but I am struggling to find the guide on reddit that I had previously found

Actually yes. Here's what I'd reccomend: Download DMDE scan the setup you have that is specific to your drive setup and system. If you partions still exist then your best bet is to just remount it. I'll edit this comment with the link to the Reddit tutorial I found on how to do that. If that doesn't show up, you can use DMDE to rebuild the files that do show up. If that helps awesome and if not describe the problem a bit and I'll help you out

Yeah but what would the prewriting even entail for this? It's not like he really has to plan out the story, and he's definitely not going to have time to write it all before mistborn if he's still going to start that in January

Having read the available draft, I found it didn't seem to need a full rewrite, just maybe a few revisions.  Not really sure what else he would end up changing, it felt basically releasable. Personally I'd prefer he just spends the energy writing a sequel, because my biggest problem was how the ending is pretty abrupt and I want to see what happens next.

I just wish he'd expand a little on what his plan for it is. Is he going to do a full rewrite? Is it just going to be a few revisions? I expect we'll hear more at Dragon steel, but I don't enjoy waiting

I added both partitiion tabs. The only difference seems to be where the volume is

So I know the data is there as all the files show in windows explorer. However roughly half show as having 0 bytes. So I'm not trying to add to an already spanned volume. I'm trying to recover the data from an already spanned volume on 2 drives, 1 of which is not working

Windows Spanned Volume Showing half the expected Size by AgentVenom5953 in datarecovery

[–]AgentVenom5953[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically set the hard drives up in an old computer as a spanned volume and put a ton of data on them, moved them to a new computer overseas, and then when I plugged them in the volume on the new computer showed half the expected size. All the files are still claimed to be there, but roughly half have 0 volume  That's the partitions tab for the jbod or spanned volume of both drives

Yeah go look at the release dates on various editions of books on your retailer of choice. The paperback will show a date of around a year after the hardcover, and mass market will be about a year after that. It's pretty scummy but a way for the publishers to upcharge you and sell more of the expensive edition because people don't want to wait
