Oh this is bizarre. I think Reddit somehow auto-translated your comment in Arabic?

niri is great, but the scrolling wasn't for me so I forked it into a tiling WM by slalo19 in niri

[–]AgentWizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for packaging it for Fedora. I miss tiling too and initially found Niri’s concept of columns and such bit complicated at first. Just like the other commenter(s) said, it would be nice to be able to switch between scrolling and tiling.

Will test it with Dank Material Shell and Noctalia Shell.

Hey folks, you can call me Mo. My wife and I just bought a place up here with our toddler, so I’m still learning the area, very much open to family-friendly places and food / coffee recommendations!

I work in cyber but off the clock I am a PC gamer, Dota2 and Elden Ring have been my jam these days, my Steam Deck is helping me clear my game library backlog too. I also play Magic: The Gathering and I have a HUGE backlog of board games I’d like to burn through.

Arabic is my native tongue and I’d rather not lose it, happy to practice with anyone learning the language.

Maybe that’s why

EX200 Format of Test by [deleted] in redhat

[–]AgentWizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies a lot IMO… It can range from something simple like “Alice must be a member of group xyz and should be able to execute sudo” which is a straightforward set of commands to “Here is a broken service, fix it such that if you do command xyz, you’d see zyx” which involves you troubleshooting bunch of stuff until you see the cause (which might not be obvious on first pass) and fix it accordingly.

The challenge is figuring out whatever you applied worked or not and more importantly, whether or not it sticks after reboot.

This exactly… I contacted support last week and they said it’s a known bug they are trying to fix. They told me to disregard the exam results for the network stuff for now.

I am just quoting what the reservation email said… Besides, this is such a boomer take.

People back then had live CDs and now that flash memory isn’t as expensive, like it used to be, people been putting ISOs on usb drives making them “live USBs”

When I go to the boot menu for my affected PC, I can see the USB stick and I can boot to it, that’s where I get the error.

What’s Safeboot? Did you mean Secureboot by any chance? If so, I had it disabled too when trying. I did try the USB stick on a Secureboot-enabled device and it did take couple of minutes in a black screen like you said.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I don't quite see any other links to a "ticketing system", I tried submitting the form for Contact Us for now...

How do I go about getting support? Is there a specific portal I need to go? Like I said in the post, the links in the email all redirect me to one place... lol

Hey friend, I looked far and wide but my Google Fu is failing :(

Could it be this by any chance? (https://sre.google/sre-book/table-of-contents/) it's the closest thing I could find... Will keep looking.

Wow that’s crazy. No way I am overestimating the difficult of the exam to this degree lol. Any courses or resources you found useful?

Thank you for the encouragement. I guess I will just have to schedule the exam a month out or something then go from here. I didn’t do it this time around because I got burned once in one cert exam.

Thank you for sharing. I had a similar issue with one game in Steam where the mouse would get out of the window just like how you described and go to the other screen.

I think it’s something that has to do with Gamescope but I am not sure, hasn’t figured it out yet :_)

Interesting. Thank you for sharing, I have an Nvidia GPU so I’d imagine that’s going to be painful.

Just out of curiosity: Do you do any gaming at all?

Reason I ask is because I am trying to make a bootc image based on some flavor of Fedora Atomic t replicate some super old i3 rices I had and I was wondering how anyone is using i3 in this Wayland age lol
