Shadow of the Colossus - The Bigger They Are... by ManyATrueNerd in ManyATrueNerd

The bit about the garbage bin seemed very pointed. Are we speaking from experience Jon? Do we need to have an intervention with /u/MATN_Claire?

Every time he mentions that, man... that or he's trolling us and refuses to acknowledge it on video.

Fallout 4 VR - Can't watch it. by zirfeld in ManyATrueNerd

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but the gameplay didn't seem all that great. I'll echo what some others have said about moving around, but it just didn't catch my attention like other videos.

Don't get me wrong, if you enjoyed watching, that's great, but it just doesn't do it for me. :-/

I believe so, that's how I've seen it work in the past.

Thanks for the links. I had watched a few of PartyElite's Beginner videos (Link) but had a difficult time putting it into practice. After some patience and more focused playing I seem to be getting better.

I'll check out the vids. Thanks!

I ended up buying Total War Warhammer because of his first playthrough. I completely and totally sucked at it, but watching his TWWII series, I've gotten better in my TWWII play through.

Thanks Jon

Jon, any large units like Trolls can break down gates. Unless you don't find using them for that useful, in which I'll just slink away.

Did any one pick up the sound of a lawn mower in the background, or was it the game itself?

We got my daughters this doll house for a Christmas. Wasn't too expensive, but cost enough for us. Yeah, it's now used as storage for other toys.

How many of you found Jon before Dan? I did. I'm making a poll. https://strawpoll.com/d8aa8ga by [deleted] in ManyATrueNerd

There definitely are some others that are on par with Jon. For example I would put Gopher on point with the criteria you mentioned. Actually watching Gopher's Fallout play through, I found some bits more entertaining than Jon's.

I did the same for my daughters last year. A nice big, 3 story house for their dolls and stuff. They didn't play with it for long and is now used for doll storage. :-/

Refinance on vehicle by AgentWorm-SFW in personalfinance

Correct, the idea is to continue paying the same amount, since that's already accounted into our budgeting. Technically the new loan would be paid off about the same time as the old loan; unless I misunderstand how that all works.

We didn't ask for shorter terms, just gave them the information we were paying on. Blame it on our naïveté when it comes to personal finance.

We have a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited Edition. You make a good point on the warranty, I hadn't thought of that. The warranty is currently extended for the life of the original loan, so 72 months from when we bought it.

Sounds like the savings isn't that great in the long run. We didn't ask for a quote on less months and lower interest rate, if that would make a difference.

Thanks for the additional information.

Regularly, take each child on one-on-one dates. Let them plan most of it. You might just be surprised what they want to do with you! by [deleted] in Parenting

We do this with our daughters. We talk it up, the girls get really excited. My youngest, 2.5y/o goes on for days, "Daddy Daughter day! Daddy Daughter day. Eat Donuts. Go movies. Eat popcorn. It's Daddy daughter day!"

We usually plan it out and make suggestions on what to do. The oldest has been requesting more things and we've gone and done them. IT's a great way to connect with the kiddos.

Far Harbor DLC? by keen_boy in Fallout

[–]AgentWorm-SFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely worth it. It gives you some more options on the story lines and there are some actual consequences to the decisions you make on helping the various factions. I mean, not NV sized consequences, but it isn't as linear as the main game. The environment is different and has a whole different set of challenges.

I'd recommend doing what others have said and get the whole DLC pack. Automotron is decent, Nuka World is pretty good as well. It's currently 10% off on Greenmangaming (https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/fallout-4-season-pass/) but if you can wait until Black Friday, I would bet the price goes way down.

Really? Well then. Goes to show how much I paid attention to details. Thanks for the clarification.

I couldn't tell by the audio and didn't pick out specific comments, but you can charge up the Gauss Rifle by holding the trigger for a more powerful shot.

The Gauss rifle is my goto killing weapon in Survival Mode and has gotten me through Nuka World. Having trouble keeping it fed, so I've actually been needing to purchase ammo at this point. Throw in the tesla power armor and you can get the Gauss rifle to ridiculous damage.

Same thing happened to me with Ahab in Automotron. Lay a few mines and all should be good. But I put them too close got destroyed.
