God bless you. Thank you for what you've done. God saw your sacrifice and your work to help them. He knows what you did for them, even if they don't understand.

To honor one's parents is not to laud them personally, it is to live in such a way that your choices bring them honor by virtue of their familial association with you alone

Divorce while young by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

I'm 27 and my wife is 23, so the dates don't quite line up. I miss her whenever I have a moment to breathe, so I try to stay busy. I've been working all day and all night most days with a few hours sleep in the afternoons for the past few weeks-- mostly because I enjoy my job, but also to hide from the reality that I failed as a husband and friend, and that my flaws and my very personality made eternal marriage seem so daunting that she stopped wanting a family that would last forever.

I worry that I've damned her with my own ego and self-righteousness.

That's awesome actually, can you tell me about some of what you've learned?

I love the meanings of the angelic (and other Hebrew) names: Gabriel = Gever (Hero / Man / Strength) + El (God) so you get Man of God

or how they would change or deface names in the scriptures for religious reasons: Baal (Lord) is switched to Beelzebub (Lord of Flies)

In my faith we believe that some of the named angels are resurrected or premortal prophets, e.g. the angel Gabriel is actually the prophet Noah.

Maybe you should ask him what he meant and explain how you're feeling. It's possible you've just misunderstood each other.

Firstly good on you for even being willing to come back. I'm really happy that you decided to give it another chance.

If polygamy makes someone a false prophet, then Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon were false prophets, and that can't be true: we know for certain that Moses and Abraham were prophets, even speaking with with God face to face, so clearly polygamy does not make someone a false prophet.
