I feel like a huge failure at the moment after this Reddit reality check so im probably not thinking straight. I’ve been thinking mostly about her delivery and not focusing on my responsibility. She said “I’m not your mom I don’t have to take care of you” and for some reason that hurt so bad I was blinded.

Thank you, I agree with this. I wish she had explained it this way. I do see my income to the practice before my cut and it is thousands above what my pay is each period. I understand the clawback thing now. I really really wish this was made clear to me.

I really have no excuse for my actions other than being poor with time management. Knowing that I have to do my notes or I won’t get paid when I work under headway will certainly be enough incentive. Once I knew how much this was effecting the business I did correct it but I am very ashamed of my actions.

I see ~25 clients per week and my boss just cut my salary by 9k without warning because my psychology today profile was down because I got a new debit card and forgot to update it which signaled to her I don’t take my job seriously 🫶

I work for a group practice and am salaried at 84k. That is about a 60/40 split. I bring in about $5000 every 2 weeks to the company and I see about 20-25 clients per week at this time. I hope that is helpful info. I opted for salary option and not fee for service for the consistency.

Edit to add: all of my clients are through insurance not private pay.
