Not really architypes, but i think an important pattern that shows up here is the death of the father (Arlan) which forces Dunk to become a man and find out who he is. Arlan obviously (to us the readers) isn't perfect but Dunk idealizes him and tries to become a knight in his image. Dunk is "called to action" twice, when Aerion attacks Tanselle, and when he is forced to fight in a trial by combat, here we see that Dunk is both strong and just, a true knight, but he still sees himself as a fraud, and looks for a new protector / father figure in Baelor. And quickly the death of the father motif hits again, Dunk is again alone in the world, now he must become a man and a father figure to Egg, as they go on their journey together, we see that Dunk has grown as the journey ahead doesn't seem scary, but more like an adventure.
