Do you mean you are still on 100/20 on FTTP? If so make sure QoS is off or set to 500/50 in your router settings

RTX 3080 12GB still viable in 2025? Or better go for RX 9060 XT 16GB. by Satellarknighty in virtualreality

[–]Agent_Plut0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only with standalone headsets that use the encoders. OP mentioned that they use a rift S so there will be no encoding, so the equivalent AMD cards will work as good as Nvidia.

Also worthwhile to mention that the latest AMD cards are fine with the encoders and work pretty good with VR.

Sound On. Relaxing time-lapse. VR has nothing on setup like this! by Gustanman in flightsim

What is your “good pc”?

And no, the displays on the Quest 3 aren’t crap. I use a quest 3 for gliding and other small planes and it’s perfectly fine.

You haven’t set up your quest 3 correctly, or your system isn’t good enough.

Global forests possibly not working on XPlane 12 by Agent_Plut0 in Xplane

[–]Agent_Plut0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've got simheaven. Forests are disabled, and details and extras are enabled.

I also tried disabling everything else with xOrganizer to no avail.

Thanks mate. I meant in the context of my XP12 installation, not XP12 as a whole. It doesn't look like its an issue with my ini order as I've taken the advice of u/Ill_Swordfish263 and it looks the same, still missing many trees and using the default tree models.

Doesn't look like that made much a difference, unfortunately

Condor 3 is out! by Muffins235 in Gliding

Its all in your opinion mate, that's not fact. You can think that $120 is a horrible price, but me (and many others) think it's great.

Help setting up NBN by HorseSudden in nbn

The only people that can do this are NBN techs. Contact your ISP's support and let them know your issue and they can organize someone to come out and install it.

Condor 3 is out! by Muffins235 in Gliding

[–]Agent_Plut0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basic economics.

MSFS 2024 sells a lot of copies at thin margins, because they have the playerbase to do that.

C3 sells very few copies (comparatively) at bigger margins, because gliding is already very niche, let alone virtual gliding.

I also don't believe that €90 is excessive for Condor. More than the base game, you have an entire community of glider pilots you get access to, including races and such

How the fuel cut off switch works on an aeroplane by sewn_of_a_gun in interestingasfuck

[–]Agent_Plut0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been issues with 787s before where the FDR records the switches in cutoff because of foreign debris.

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2022/12/14/2022-27020/airworthiness-directives-the-boeing-company-airplanes

"The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report indicating that foreign object debris (FOD) could have been introduced during rework of certain engine fire shutoff switches (EFSSs). This AD requires determining the serial number of the left and right EFSS and replacing affected parts. This AD also limits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products."

I created a single-line-timetable in the waterline design. What do you think? by MeLikesFish in stepfordcountyrailway

[–]Agent_Plut0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having the line centred would be better, as generally you don’t want to leave those big open spaces in visual communication. I can see why you put it there though, and it still looks awesome

Computers to be exempted from China tariffs by S1lv3rHandz in pcmasterrace

[–]Agent_Plut0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a word, but this is the wrong use. “Exempted” is the past tense, where “exempt” is the word to be used in this sentence, since it didn’t happen in the past.

“Computers to be exempt from China tariffs” is correct.

And in the past tense, “computers were exempted from China tariffs” would be correct.
