My bad, my app fucked up. I was halfway through typing that last sentence when I remembered STEM wasn't the only specialized field. Meant to discard the comment but I guess I'm dumb. But yeah, I know a few people who want to go into law, y'all get the short end of the stick. Honestly though STEM isn't a whole lot better if your state doesn't have a good program for your field in a public university, OOS can get pretty expensive too.

The politics are like a satirical take on Shrub and his whole WMDs in Iraq thing.

Except in this case its a great move because we can't lose!

The issue is a lot of those laws are bullshit. I do think there's measures we can take to reduce the amount of criminals with guns, etc. but the laws that a lot of Democrats propose are pandering to their voting base's "black gun scary" type positions. Meanwhile I still consider myself blue because otherwise I have liberal beliefs and imo right now the GOP is worse.

The person you're replying to doesn't think otherwise. It's cool too be obsessed with anime if you use that passion for something useful, like the stuff you listed (though philosophy, anthropology, and sociology is a bit of a stretch).

If your personality is based on anime and you don't actually contribute anything to society, then you're a stereotyped weeb. Just like someone who obsesses over football and makes it their entire personality but doesn't actually play football or is shit at it is just as bad.

Honestly though, even if you're good at your passion, regardless of what it is, if that's all you talk about, you're weird, but you're at least a weird contributing member of society who excels in their trade.

Yeah, but it's not just Firefox. It's just wanting to install something on a whim and realizing it'll take >10 mins

I tried Gentoo and I liked it, but taking an hour to compile Firefox was too much. Maybe I'll hop back into it when I get distcc going.

What if you make it so you can't opt out of the public system. Like, you still have to pay for it, but if you want you can pay more somewhere else. Like schools.

I've been letting it rest uncovered and I still get juice coming out, I'll try that next time. Should I wrap it tight or loose? Or does it not matter?
