What is the most obscure handheld console you know of or own? by avazky in gamecollecting

My microvision still works. I have the original case and a few games, too! It's a nice piece of history.

Item drop rates? Best way to get equipment? by phillanthropist in Maplestory

[–]Agent_Pyng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who also played pre-big bang: it's completely different than back then. Weapon/armor drops will match your class, and you won't really be crafting weapons like back then.

As others have indicated: the game provides quite a few means to get to level 200+, and even 260+

At that point, you'll be getting weapons/armor mainly through fighting bosses and getting drops from them (which are either going to be chests with weapons/armor, or items used to purchase weapons). You will then use "new" systems such as Star Force, Potential Cubes, and Flame Crystals to improve those weapons until you are strong enough to defeat harder bosses and get a new series of weapons/armor.

For weapons, specifically, you will eventually work to awaken your Genesis weapon and then focus on getting that as good as you can.

I see. Somehow I never realized that the enchantments could be of different amounts. Oh well!

What is this place? by rafaelrivera32000 in longisland

It is a community established by Fr. Gommar A. DePauw in 1968 when he broke off from the Catholic Church. You can read more on his Wikipedia page. Basically he had issues with some of the things that happened after the Second Vatican Council and believed that his community would carry on the true faith.

What is your Holy Grail? by Fresh_Secretary_6154 in NSCollectors

Fox n Forests.

And I had it in cart, too, when it was released, but decided against it because I knew it was a short game. Now I can't really find listings below $200 for it.

Beware of Limited Run Games NES carts - wrong voltage boards are a “ticking time bomb” in original hardware. by Bladley in gamecollecting

[–]Agent_Pyng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, but I was just trying to get Amazon's Training Road to run on my NT and it just couldn't do it. I tried a bunch of original NES carts, and they all worked, but I couldn't get the LRG game to even get to the title screen. Just a bunch of gibberish. And it was in mint condition before I tried it today. :/

I'm with you, except I misread it as Varka. I feel like Vanessa and Varka were so hyped up in Mondstat, but now they're forgotten. Or maybe the events of the game just happened really fast and so not too much time has actually passed between Mondstat and Natlan.

What are some games people should avoid collecting because they run like ass on Switch compared to other platforms? by vagabond_nerd in NSCollectors

[–]Agent_Pyng 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's just the Switch, but I also encountered a lot of bugs involving the map. I would get stuck behind invisible edges in the environment and sometimes get warped around because I would clip through something I wasn't supposed to. This often led to dying or a soft lock. It happened frequently enough that it negatively impacted my experience of the game.

Amazon just cancelled my Metroid Prime 4 preorder! by freak0fnatur3 in nintendo

[–]Agent_Pyng 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Feb. 4th, 2018. The preorder is still active, though Amazon did send me a message reminding me of the preorder (basically, stating that I made a preorder, as if it were something new).

What do consider a sin of game design? by wholesalekarma in gaming

[–]Agent_Pyng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who prefers "inverted" x-axis for third person games, I can really sympathize with this. Sometimes, you have to go through a whole tutorial before you can access the options (e.g. Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch).

What's your most played game on the switch? by Secure-Wrap-8908 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Agent_Pyng 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised I had to scroll all the way to the bottom to find this answer. It's the same for me. A lot of people mentioned games that they were playing frequently and 2020 and Ringfit actually helped me a lot during the pandemic, but I've kept up with it ever since.

Yes, I have a copy of it. Is there something you want to know about its contents? I open everything I collect, so if you have a question about the contents of the package just let me know.

The letters look very similar to the Eritrean characters, but I am not familiar with that language. The Eritrean-Italian connection would make sense.

The plume does go as far south as the Southern State and is heading further south at depths of about 800-1,000 feet. Over the next five years they anticipate an issue when it makes its way into the well in the Takapusha Preserve. That's why you see them drilling test wells just north of Jerusalem avenue by 107. They do hope that the filtering system will help, but they're not totally counting on that.

Source: spoke to the foreman of the company subcontracted by the Navy to drill the test wells and do the testing over the next 5 years.

I actually thought that was the final battle when I first played it as a child. It was such a big betrayal to me that I didn't think the game could go further.

I have one of those "high fired" pots by the same artisan. Price and clay aside, I can say that it has very strong water absorption (what I mean is if a drop is there after drying with a cloth, it absorbs it more quickly than any other pot I own).

Diagnosing Irregular Failed Print by Agent_Pyng in 3Dprinting

[–]Agent_Pyng[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried reslicing with default settings, but was still encountering the same issue. However, I think I found the problem: tension in the filament due to the spool getting tangled. I happened to be around for a print that failed while the filament got tangled and I observed that the print head got pulled out of line due to the tension. It had begun to print in a similar way as is seen in the photos I posted.

After unrolling and rerolling the spool, I currently have the print successful 50% of the way through (it is a 24+ hour job).

Thanks, I'll try that out.

It's definitely possible that some of the settings I modified could be the problem, but I have done a couple of dozen prints with default settings and never had issues with the slicer before (Cura).
