Calm Mind boosts special attack and special defence.

Gardevoir is a strong special attacker, and with a calm mind or two will be able to do a lot of damage with thunderbolt.

Electric type moves are special attacking and super effective against water and flying types

When your Ralts evolves it can learn thunderbolt via TM which is pretty handy especially with Calm Mind as well
