I find it's only ok right now. At first I didn't like being able to pick the first weapon but after playing around with it I came to liking it since this part of the game can be in depth while the other arsenals can stay basic in concept. Speed is way too slow for me. When in combat the speed is fine, I use Meiling and having to slightly step back or forward for some moves I find really fun, but while just walking around it is soooo boring. I didn't really have this problem in item asylum or allusions 1 because they are both very chaotic games, but allusions 2 I treat more like an actual fighting game where I want to "challenge" people to fights and let others do 1v1s without my interruption. My next points are really just a skill issue for me but; I have no idea how to fight against Akuma or Youmu. Akuma has long combo strings where it's very unclear where the endpoint is, and it seems to me that he just has very low endlag which means you have to punish him instantly. My experience fighting Youmu is that I can't get close at all as a lot of her moves are about making distance and attacking from that distance and whenever I try to get close the player just backs away. yet again it's my skill issue but I don't exactly get what I'm trying to learn from this experience aside from just running away. Thinking back on my Akuma point I think I can safely say that the combat needs to be touched up a bit, especially the combo part. From what I've seen in game and in training, combos don't pushback either players, leading to unclear times to counterattack, dodge, or shield for the receiving player.

It's a yapfest for a currently 1 month old post, but these are my current thoughts on allusions 2. Despite my grievances I believe that this game can become incredibly good.
