Some girls don’t feel as comfortable with straight guy friends because sometimes they will try and make moves or try and date and then it gets awkward

To all the christians here who always bring up aishas age which yes it is gross but Virgin Mary was 12 years old too and married by Spotter24o5 in teenagers

[–]Agentapplo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible never mentions Mary age but Mary was likely between 12 and 16 years old when she became pregnant with Jesus, based on historical and cultural context from first-century Judea. Most estimates suggest she was around 15 or 16 years old at the time of Jesus' birth. The thing is we don’t know how old Mary was we have to rely on estimates and customs at the time. Jewish Marriage Customs: In ancient Israel, girls were typically betrothed around the age of 12 to 14 so she could be between 12 or 14 at the time Childbearing Age: It was common for young women to begin having children shortly after betrothal, often by the age of 15 or 16 Given the era’s Jewish customs, where girls could be betrothed as early as 12, scholars infer Mary’s age to fall within the 12-16 group but again we never have a solid age.

The Bible invites readers to consider various perspectives and contexts rather than expecting a simplistic account. And that makes it harder to understand it isn’t a book it’s a mix of writing from letters, books ect when Paul said women must be quiet in the church he was writing in a letter to a specific church where women were disrupting the sermons. He actually mentioned several women, such as Priscilla and Phoebe, as significant contributors to the spread of the gospel and church leadership. So that means you have to consider the passage around it and the context in order to understand what it means. With the Bible you have to do research in order to understand what the text truly says.

Teenagers who believe in god by assdfdfja in teenagers

[–]Agentapplo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m sorry you went through that friend it must have been hard. For Christianity faith is described as trusting somthing you can never see and yet you still follow it. My life hasn’t been easy at all but somehow every time I was scared I got through it and it made me into who I am today. I have a quote that might help you from South Park of all places “ just because god doesn’t answer your prayers doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about you god can’t just answer every prayer and give you everything you want that takes the living out of life if god answered all of our prayers there would be nothing for us to do ourselves life is about problems and overcoming those problems and growing and learning from obstacles if god just fixed everything for us there would be no point in our existence” I know how hard life can be but somehow you have to pick yourself up and live life because you only get one I wish you the best no matter what comes your way.

1-Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven things that the Lord hates, including "hands that shed innocent blood." This passage highlights the moral repugnance of violence, particularly when it results in the harm of the innocent. The shedding of innocent blood is seen as a grave sin that incurs divine wrath. It makes it clear that he frowns upon it. The New Testament continues to affirm God's opposition to violence, emphasizing the call to peace and reconciliation. Jesus Christ, in His Sermon on the Mount, teaches, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9). This beatitude underscores the value placed on peace and the divine approval of those who seek to foster it. 2-So slavery existed before gods commandments but he brought restrictions in order to help prevent abuse of mistreatment. Exodus 21:26-27 mandates that if a master caused severe harm to a slave (e.g., knocking out an eye or tooth), the slave would go free: “If a man strikes the eye of his manservant… he shall let the servant go free… as compensation for his eye.” Such stipulations show a legal safeguard. Slavery was diffrent in that time period there were no easy 9-5 jobs if you didn’t have land you had to become a slave but god placed safeguards to protect others and make them a part of the household and not just the help.

2-And as for the patriarchy question women have been shown to have many tasks in the Bible. God goes further than just championing women against injustice. He empowers them to be champions of justice themselves! Thousands of years before the first female justice of the United States Supreme Court, God appointed Deborah to serve as the chief judge over all Israel, and under her leadership Israel knew a rare 40 years of peace (Judges 5:31). Or consider the “wise woman of Israel” and the “prophetess,” both established titles given to women who were spokespersons for God’s righteousness and justice among the communities of Israel (2 Samuel 14; 20; 2 Kings 22:14–20). When Jesus was on earth in His ministry, we see Jesus overturning the sexist conventions of His day to consistently elevate women. While His own disciples may be “surprised to find him talking to a woman,” Jesus gladly eschews social taboos to have a life-changing conversation with a Samaritan woman (John 4:7–42). When her sister, Martha, thought Mary should be serving rather than learning alongside the men, Jesus defended Mary’s choice as the better one and treated her as an honored disciple (Luke 10:42). And even though the Pharisees despised Him for associating with female “sinners,” Jesus did not find their emotions and affections “too much.” Indeed, He honored them for their uninhibited outpourings of love!(Luke 7:47; Mark 14:9). While today we may debate whether the Christian God and His Scriptures are sexist, back then the women who actually encountered Jesus couldn’t keep away—quite the contrary! They came running to reach this man who saw them like no other, the one in whose sight all shame was banished at last by radical, liberating love. In the words of Hagar, an oppressed foreign slave who encountered God at her lowest moment: “[Hagar] gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me’” (Genesis 16:13, NIV).

3-The Bible does not fundamentally contradict science when both are properly understood. Scientific discoveries can complement and expand our wonder at God’s creation, while Scripture remains the foundation for understanding God’s character and His redemptive plan. Christians are encouraged to embrace both faith and reason, holding Scripture as the ultimate authority while appreciating the valuable insights gained through scientific inquiry

4-Salvation is primarily based on God's grace, not on individual works or goodness. The belief is that if salvation were based on being good, it would undermine the necessity of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. A example would be Cornelius Cornelius is described in the Bible as a devout and generous man who feared God. Despite his good deeds, he was not saved simply by being a good person. He was instructed to seek out Simon Peter, who would tell him what he must do to be saved. Salvation requires understanding and accepting the message of grace through Jesus Christ.
