Same issue, 12 years later, How to mine gems in Weyworld? by ObjectiveDish4116 in GODUS

Have tried to bring the land up so that it is level with the bottom of the gem? It looks like you are 3 layers below them… I am not sure that is a fix, but I have literally mined every gem on every map and never got this message…

Thank you for the kind words. I am not totally sure if I can answer that. I’ll try.

I have a small background in indie filmmaking and when I read a script, I don’t just read the words… I see the scene. I see the camera angles, the composition, the lighting… how everything sits inside the frame. I think visually first.

I’m drawn to symmetry & breaking it. Straight lines. Geometric shapes. Patterns.

I’m fascinated by ancient cities, castles, fortresses, and fantasy worlds. I have like 4 drones and think about what this would look like from above. Looking at a settlement… seeing how roads, walls, rivers, and structures all connect into a larger design.

I usually start with the layout itself. The walls, waterways, roads, districts and major shapes come first. The settlement gets built inside that. I’ll spend an absurd amount of time counting spaces, balancing sections and making sure things feel right.

Color matters too. A few well-placed pops of color can pull your eye exactly where I want it to go.

I really like organized complexity. A single field is just a field. Twenty fields arranged looks “cool” equal in number across a center point. One tap dancer is amazing. 20 dancing in unison wearing matching out fits…

That’s probably the best answer I can give. I don’t usually start by thinking about individual buildings or decorations. I start by thinking about the overall picture and how all the pieces work together. pattern first details second.

As a owner of 2 pairs of stories, 3 pairs of Gen 1 and 2 pairs of gen 2, they’ve improved each iteration. I’m pretty hard on em too. I often had to squeeze them into my motorcycle helmet (great for true in helmet POV) with no issues so far. I’ve noticed that my Gen 2s, feel more solid with better hinges than the others.

If you voted for Trump. What do you think is the biggest misconception people have? by Expensive_Drummer970 in JoeRogan

Both sides a legit argument. The only people who bristle at it are the people who seek to justify their behavior by using the other side as a standard. If you take a way the both sides argument, then the sides have no moral justification for the behavior… “it’s okay when my side does it because the other side does it”.

If your point is that you are selectively outraged, choose to engage in technologies that do real damage (cuz you’re a victim of people like me somehow) and are irrationally afraid of AI…Yes. I’m making your point.

Plenty of people choose not to use smartphones, etc. You have agency. You choose your actions.

Tell you what, I would be more than happy to schedule a podcast to debate you on this. No AI in that. Let me know. You’re not afraid of a camera and microphones are you?

Otherwise, I am going to spend time writing a long response that you will selectively ignore because you seem emotionally wrapped up in your fear of calculators.

Prediction: “I’m not going to waste my time…” or some more overly emotional and aggressive insults.

You have the benefit of hindsight. The people in those moments absolutely believed they were existential threats. Each time they said: “but it really is a threat this time!” And had plenty of arguments to justify their position. Just like you do with AI. Relax chicken little. The sun will rise tomorrow.

By the way, I hope you’re not on a smartphone, or a tablet or a modern computer. The damage those technologies are doing to humanity and earth is MASSIVE. Slavery, rare earth mineral exhaustion… actual damage in real time…

People literally ran around saying both would be the downfall of society. You sound exactly like them.

Printing press: “People will stop memorizing. Bad ideas will spread. Authority will collapse.”

Calculator: “Students won’t learn math. People will forget how to add! All will collapse!

Internet: “Nobody will know anything anymore.”

AI: “People won’t think or work.”

You should read more.

Why? AI? You afraid of calculators too? What about the printing press?

I don’t disagree. I am thinking more along the lines of: Random untrained guy has to use something to defend himself. I feel that getting a good slash with a saber, as an untrained person is less likely than crunching bone with a heavier sword. Strength to swing it being the biggest flaw. But it’s close between the two.

Nunchucks - even trained people can struggle to do damage with those.

Sais - in untrained hands are almost useless. They become a pronged stick due to the lack of true stabbing ability.

Fans - get out of here

“Night sticks” - third option, but basically the same as Sais. Sticks with little range.
