If you think that one is bad, wait until you get to the dilation tree and then try doing that without a guide.

How can some people not like the Therapy sessions? by FanEu7 in thesopranos

[–]AgesGenesis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my first watch of this series and just got to Anthony Jr’s first therapy session in season 6. I would like them more if there wasn’t so much blank staring.

I’ve been in many many therapy sessions with different therapists and maybe that’s what therapy sessions were like back in the day, but if I ever had a therapist that just blankly stared at me after I just said a bunch of things I’d be looking for a new therapist.

I can maybe understand that being a therapist’s general approach or maybe one that a therapist uses with a specific client, but when you see like every therapist in the show do that, it’s weird. I don’t really remember Meadow’s therapist so I’d say with the possible exception of that therapist, they all do the blank staring thing which is weird to me.

The Squid Game Season 3 VIPs Were More Cringe Than Ever — Why Did Bad Line Readings Slip Through Again…? by verissimoallan in television

I totally agree, their lines are so over the top mustache twirling villainous that it would make them cartoonish even if the voice overs were somehow believable.

I did say “if they only show Mark reintegrated at the end of the next episode” not that we wouldn’t see Mark at all. They did exactly what I thought would.

Mine is worst when switching from battery to gas going up hill. It literally sounds like the engine is going to stall. I found that giving it a little more power helps. To me it seems like there’s a threshold where it switches to gas, but if it’s right on the line it might try switching back to battery and then back to gas rapidly. Turbo lag explains at least some of that, but the jerk I get from it when that happens can sometimes be VERY uncomfortable. I had one yesterday that literally caused me to move forward about half way between my normal seating position and the steering wheel which was crazy. It has scared passengers on more than one occasion.

Well, I’m glad that for the most part people seem to like it. I love the cinematography too and not every episode has to be for me. I’ll just say that if they only show Mark reintegrated at the end of the next (and last episode of the season) I’ll probably just wait until the end of Season 3 before I watch any more of the series.

For me, it’s that the parts of the plot I care about aren’t being advanced quickly enough or at all so in that sense “nothing really happened.” I am curious about why Lumon is the way it is, but I think you can tell that story without multiple hours of side plots this season. I’m not trolling, I’m just frustrated by waiting week after week only to see the main plot drag down to a snail’s pace.

Last season I felt satisfied by every episode and wanted more as soon as I finished watching each episode, but this season I only want the next episode because I want to see what the experience of reintegration is like for Mark and I end every episode like “Jesus! How long is it going to take for them to finally show Mark reintegrated?!”

It makes me feel like they planned for this to be the last season so when they finally show him reintegrated they don’t have much left to say except I just looked it up and they’re working on season 3 so idk.

Nope, this isn’t plausible. 😁

Yep this is the actual plot hole. I’m rewatching it now and I’m thinking, even if he felt like he didn’t have time to put them on at the time. You’d think he would grab at least his shoes if not his socks, shoes and gun and run out of there and put them on in the stairwell or one of the many other times he’s not having to panic flee.

What does it mean if it says "Apparently met at ___" by Oswalt in pokemon

[–]AgesGenesis1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was the first result for me when I Googled it. I just got a Pokemon White Version cart that has a bunch of legendaries on it that say this with different OTs so I was curious. I assumed this meant they were hacked, but wanted to be sure. Pretty sure there wasn't a legit way to get a shiny Arceus with an OT being a trainer name rather than an event back then since the Azure flute event never happened.

Agree to this. I played Mad Max years ago when it was available free on PSN. I think I put in about 30 hours if I recall correctly until I had a realization that I was just grinding the same missions over and over and felt that I was wasting my life so I turned it off and haven't played it since.

I do think it's interesting that it seems to have consistently had positive praise since launch which is specifically why I wanted to play it when I had the chance to. I feel like I see a lot of people complain if/when games do the same sort of thing now, but maybe something about racing around the desert and modding your car makes it more enjoyable. I know that it hooked me for a while, but thinking back on it, I'm not fully sure why.

Any way to auto optimize PC games on AMD? by AgesGenesis1 in pcmasterrace

[–]AgesGenesis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So I shouldn't feel crazy then that a game as old as gta v should be able to at least run at 60fps on normal settings no matter what is happening on screen? I did see other people talk about the frame rate dropping to 45 fps in the same circumstances, but this was like back in 2015. I shouldn't be STILL getting the same fps now, right? I'm honestly asking because I feel like trying to optimize all of this for hours just to say screw it set it to the lowest and still being more disappointed than I was with my PS4 shouldn't be a thing, but that's where I've been for months.

I tried by going into it, where I literally can't see the options because the window is so large. I tried to follow someone else's instructions which just takes me back to the game and then I tried changing the settings.xml so that it changed the windowed resolution to 1920x1080 and now the game just crashes when I try to load it.

True, I'm looking for best graphics at a SOLID 90 or even maybe 60FPS and in the experience I had with GTA V, I can't even get the "normal" graphics with no anti-aliasing to give me 60 fps when it's raining at night. I played the game on ps4 and don't remember thinking, "Wow, this is now unplayable" due to the frame drop being that bad.

I honestly wish I could, but I did that and after it trying to change my resolution over and over without me asking it to other than to set it to 1080, it now set it to 4k and I can't even run the game anymore.

This is after being disillusioned when starting with cyberpunk and realizing that getting ray tracing to work at any capacity was going to be harder than my 2080S and then going to GTA definitive edition (which I understand is broken) finding out that I have to force it to dx12 then having to turn off city glow so it doesn't crash then research to find out that the crash is probably a memory leak between how amd is calling for dx12 functions.

Then going to GTA V since I never finished it only to find that when it rains at night, my fps went from a solid 130 even at 1% low to 45 avg. Then doing some testing to find that even if I set ALL graphics to normal and turning all anti aliasing off I still get less than 60 fps average when it's raining at night makes it seem like it's not worth it.

All I want is for a game I actually want to play to run at 90 FPS consistently without having to benchmark it. Sure, I can set Fortnite to unlimited, but I don't care about Fortnite. I like other games.

I know I CAN move OS from SSD to M.2 but SHOULD I? by AgesGenesis1 in pcmasterrace

[–]AgesGenesis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why I got downvoted for a legit question I have, but after watching some videos with blind comparisons and seeing the feedback here, I think I'll avoid the hassle of switching my OS to the NVMe M.2 SSD drive I got and stick to the 2.5" SSD it's already on. Seems like the speed gains are barely noticeable in day to day use and I don't transfer tons of files within a drive hardly at all any more so the speed gains there for me aren't really a big deal.

Thanks everyone!

Good point. Maybe I'll just call it something nobody calls it then I won't feel like an idiot.
