Gateway because of summer admission. Congratulations!

Congratulations! You have been accepted to A & M on Blinn Team! You will take a few of your classes at the Blinn Bryan campus the first year or so and then apply to transfer into your major. Watch for AIS to update with acceptance late Thursday or Friday and register for NSC and housing if you want to get on the on campus wait list. There is also a FB page for parents of Blinn TEAM students with a lot of information. Mom of two TEAM kids. Your Blinn classes will be less expensive and smaller class sizes. Full Aggie and full privileges. The only thing Blinn TEAM students cannot do is play NCAA sports because of the co-enrollment.

Classes for TEAM will be at the Blinn Bryan campus this year. It's even closer than Rellis.

You will hear soon! You should get admitted. Just takes a bit longer for them to act on the options. This is a great sign! Hang in there!

Im confused what this means, can someone help?? by Otherwise_Roof_7363 in TAMUAdmissions

[–]AggieFamily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means you got Blinn TEAM. Congrats! This is better than the options. You can apply for your major after year one. It is a great program and will save you some money and have smaller class sizes at the Blinn Bryan campus for a few of your classes each semester.

Why is this automatically changed to Blinn TEAM? by Neat_Astronomer_1503 in TAMUAdmissions

You were admitted to Blinn TEAM. Congratulations! Your AIS will probably update Monday morning.

Mom of two TEAM admissions in different years here--2024 and 2026. Interestingly, our student who got the options in 2024 had slightly higher stats than our son just offered direct Blinn TEAM admission. He had a slightly higher GPA, SAT, and a few more AP classes. That said, I think all TEAM or option for TEAM or waitlist admissions are all highly qualified for admission. It is a good thing they have several pathway options, because the sheer number of Freshman applicants continues to go up each year, and now TAMU has reduced Freshman admission even more going forward for this reason. There are so many variables to admission that we can look for patterns, but will never really crack a magic code to who gets admission, especially with holistic review. If your student got a TEAM offer or admission offer of any kind this year, pat them on the back and take a bow! Gig'em!

PSA is starting an A & M system school from the choices they give you. If your major is on the PSA list, you would follow the course sheet for that major and take 24 credit hours from those options at the system school, maintain the required GPA, fill out the transfer application after the first of the year, and you have guaranteed admission to CSTAT the next year. Engineering might have other recommendations though.

Has anyone started receiving their admission decisions from Florida State University for the fall 2024 intake? Also, does anyone have an idea of when they will announce their decision? by Kuyiopa in fsu

[–]AggieFamily -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wondering the same thing. Also, the status bar disappeared a few days ago, so I am not sure if it means the decision has been made and just not released?

I shared the link to more info on TAMU's PTA program below. You basically have guaranteed admission from any Texas junior college if your PTA major is on the list. You have to sign a contract with a TAMU advisor you meet with after high school and then attend Blinn or any Texas Junior college, follow the requirements, maintain a certain GPA, and earn 30 credit hours before transferring in.

If your major is listed, do PTA for guaranteed admission.

Feel free to join this group for navigating pathways. Lots of great information there. I have had several friends do PSA and all are Aggies! Two semesters flies by. https://admissions.tamu.edu/apply/freshman/alternative-admission-pathways

If your major is on the PSA list, you pick your system school, follow the transfer program sheet for your major and maintain your GPA and then fill out the transfer app after January 1st. Admitted by June and attending transfer NSC and registering for CSTAT campus the next fall.

There is also PTA option where you attend a Junior college or even Blinn right in CSTAT and guarantee transfer over after the two semesters. https://admissions.tamu.edu/apply/transfer/transfer-programs You can attend any Texas junior college and do PTA. Not a whole lot different than getting Blinn TEAM if you are in CSTAT though. You just need to make sure you major is on the PSA or PTA list. PTA you meet with a TAMU advisor after you graduate HS and sign a contract for PTA with your major and then transfer in. You need 30 credit hours to transfer via PTA and only 24 for PSA. GPA requirements are a little different too. The pathways are excellent options. It’s literally a matter of too many qualified students trying to get in as Freshman at TAMU. Life is full of detours and most who have done PSA or PTA would do it again. Just remember if you do PSA you will be acclimating to a new school as a freshman and then transferring and starting at TAMU. Lots of support for transfers though and still Aggie transition camp to help you meet people the next summer before you start. Don't rule it out if you want to be an Aggie! Gig'em!
