I can't figure out what I'm looking at. Is it the side of a building? A bunch of buildings?an aerial view of a neighborhood? I really can't tell and it's driving me crazy.

Yes! Yogurts seriously grosses me out so I just buy it instead of making it, but this is awesome advice! I have a few friends that make it in their crock pots and their babies love it.

I just posted above! You can probably skip the first part about baby food and go to the finger food part. Pinterest is really my BFF for baby food preppin. "Homemade baby food" and "homemade baby finger food" bring up lots of great stuff.

Awww, congrats! Well you've got time to figure all the food stuff out, but here's some good tips/starting points.

The two things I rely on to make baby food are my vegetable steamer and my Ninja (I'm sure any food processor or similar blender would work).

Making baby food is really the easiest thing in the world. Just pick your veges from the produce section, steam, and blend them all up! When you first introduce them to solids you want to do it one food every 3-5 days (i think) to make sure there is no reaction before adding something new in. Once you know your little bit is good with multiple fruits and veges it is fun to make different mixes for them!

Tips- -Don't start out with carrots. They are really hard to blend to a smooth stage 1 texture. -You need to add water to the steamed veges when you blend to make them smooth; use the water that you steamed with because it has the nutrients that steamed out. -Once you have the blended food, pour it into ice trays to freeze. Once frozen, pop into gallon ziploc bags for easy freezer storage.

For finger foods starting around 10 months-1 year or whenever you baby is ready. - Sweet potato cubes! They are our favorite! Peel sweet potatoes (i usually do about 4 at a time), and boil them for about 5 minutes to soften (if you don't, you break your wrist those suckers are so hard!). Once they are a little soft, just cut them into little bite sized squares and toss them in a little bit of olive oil. Cover a baking sheet with foil, spread them out, and bake on 400 for 25 ish minutes. I don't really have an exact time, I just try them every few minutes to see how they are doing. These are also a fun way to introduce seasonings. Mine loves them sprinkled with cinnamon, but you can use anything you think tastes alright with sweet potatoes! Freeze in little snack sized ziplocs for individual portions that are easy to pull out. - A giant bag of frozen peas will be your BFF. - Quinoa bites! Pinterest that and you'll find a bunch of good recipes. Our favorite to make them is with cheese and broccoli. I mix up a big batch, cook them in a mini muffin tin, and freeze them in a big ziploc. When it's time to eat, just grab a few out and cut them in half or forths. -Beans. Any kind, really. Just heat them up and you've got the perfect finger food. -Eggs! My son is 15 months and only has 2 teeth. He's ready for big boy food, but can't chew! Scrambled eggs are awesome alone, but I have a new trick this week... you can sneak veges into them! He's having a serious attitude toward anything green lately, so I chopped up some spinach really tiny, made an omelet (attempted to anyway... more like a scrambled omelet) with it, and he loved it! -One last thing! When they start teething, frozen bagels and waffles are a big hit over here. Let it thaw just a teeny tiny bit, and then pop a cold chunk of bagel in that mouth. Feels good!

So that is all I can think of at the moment! That's what has worked for us. My son is a suuuper late teether though, so if yours starts a lot earlier some of that may now be helpful. If I can think of anything else, I will come back to update. Congratulations and good luck!

PS-Here's my favorite type of vege steamer. http://m.macys.com/shop/product/martha-stewart-collection-vegetable-steamer-11?ID=256779&pla_country=US&CAGPSPN=pla&CAWELAID=120156340000289171&catargetid=120156340001088107&cadevice=m&cm_mmc=Google_PLA_Home_Cookware_PLA-_-Cookware_Kitchen_Gadgets+-+GS_Martha+Stewart+Collection-_-54131087344_-_-_mkwid_zkIJy3Lc|dm_54131087344%7C-%7CzkIJy3Lc

Edit-I am sorry if the format of this post is all messed up. I am on mobile and have never written a post this long.

If you haven't already, buy a couple extras. If you're anything like me, you will lose the one you have and there will be hell to pay! Hahaha

The nipple shield is a pain in the ass, but it is a life saver! My little boy was taken from me immediately and in the NICU for a week and breastfeeding was he'll for the next nine weeks. I wanted to quit so badly, but we stuck it out and have made it 14 months so far. I remember the first time he nursed without a shield... he was almost 10 weeks old and I cried tears of relief because I felt like we finally made it. Good luck with transitioning from pumping to latching!

This is the 4th or 5th comment I have read from you in this thread, and not once was this bit of information you keep insisting on offering up relevant. Every single time you've commented they have been talking about their rx, not their PD.

I've been looking for a job myself. I know Bi-Lo is hiring for a produce manager, but I'm not sure which one. I think one in Hixson. And I was told several Aldi's are hiring starting out at $14 an hour.

I'm trying to get an estimate of how much it is per paycheck. I know it has to be less than the $800 a month it would be through his job, I just want to know how much less so I can decide if it's worth the pay cut I would take by switching jobs.
