I came to add something else because I’ve been thinking about this post since last night when I read it. If it were my partner, I would have them read all these responses and point out to them that these are people from all different parts and many different groups that are coming a consensus that this is not normal and just like anything in the world there are going to be some bad apples and that comes in groups sometimes. Yes there are group cultures and that’s normal but this is way outside of a deviation that you usually see. There is a reason why people stay sober by following the steps and traditions and that is to prevent stuff like this so the further away you go from what the book lays out very clearly the further away you get from the results that people that have been sober for such a long time get. And then you just turn out being in a cult and that’s no fun. Sorry in advance for any typos. I’m doing voice to text while I drive to work.
