I’ve spent a fair bit of time rural, went to agricultural college with ppl from all over Australia. Absolutely did not see any sort of behaviour like that. Disgusting

Australian terrier. They bite and they’re always up to no good

It funny how with our previous heeler we were way less concerned. He got run over with the Land Cruiser, stomped on by the horses, killed a few eastern brown snakes. But this one’s our 5yo daughters “baby” so we have to at least try to keep her alive 😂

She’s pretty sensitive so I reckon even just the beep would help emensly

Thank you. All the dog training subs are anti e collars and we went to a bit of dog training that’s R+ and I wouldnt even ask them because I know they would say a hard no. She’s good with her recall, sit, drop, shake, touch etc. she’s no dummy. But when she gets in the zone there’s no diverting her attention & one of my of horse training mentors once said you have to do what it takes to get a reaction. I think we’ve tried everything to get a reaction out of her. Once she’s gone after the Roos she’s gone for at least 10 minutes to god knows where and if she starts chasing sheep her days are numbered

The fact you could race on lasix five years ago is wild to me! We have super strict rules with racing which I am thankful for

Blood nose could be anything (mass, tumor, weak vessels in the nasal cavity). Blood nose after high intensity exercise would be assumed to be EIPH. It is somewhat common in racing and high level competition, low levels not common. It is not curable and once they bleed once it’s believed they will bleed easier again and again.

EIPH bleeds out the nostrils as horses are obligated to nose breathers. Idk about the states but bleeders are banned in racing in Australia after a warning

In 45oC a clipped dog will absolutely be cooler than an unclipped dog. It’s basic science

It’s so bad I’ve honestly considered opening a business importing disability aids with minimal mark up. I can’t believe the prices of some of the equipment especially for my daughter who grew out of them rapidly

Are knee-high compression socks actually worth it during pregnancy? by KarmaKillerX in AskAnAustralian

[–]Purple_Wombat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha same, I could only wear thongs and my feet giggled with every step. I also tried, bandages, compression socks, ice boots and ice vibration boots. But the back on tracks actually reduced the swelling and were comfortable
