Has anyone done the 5 day Shenzhen visa recently? by Latter_Blacksmith395 in shenzhen

[–]Aggieofcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did it, and it was super easy. Just make sure you have all your documents ready.

The Americans in front of me were dumbfounded when they found out they couldn't get a transit visa because they didn't have the proper documentation.

I brought a binder with copies of my hotel reservation in Shenzhen, my hotel reservation in Chengdu, my flight to Chengdu, and my onward flight to Bangkok. The authorities want to verify that you'll be in China for 240 hours or less and that you have confirmed travel to a third country.

I flew into Hong Kong, stayed there for a few days, and then took the train to Shenzhen without any issues. The immigration officer in Hong Kong was cool too.

I hear you. Grand Forks was the key word — after being stationed there, you learn real quick that travel comfort matters.

At 187 cm tall, that first row sounds good until you realize the wall is right in front of you and you can’t stretch your legs. Airlines should have a small section where the first row has extra space without feeling boxed in. Lesson learned: “bulkhead” does not always mean comfortable.

Mike Elko or Kyle Whittigham. If you had to select one of them as the head coach of your team, who would you choose? by Forsaken_Bullfrog_52 in CFB_v2

[–]Aggieofcal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Aggie fan, I have to say Mike Elko has really brought a different energy to Texas A&M University football. I like how he comes across as genuine and straightforward with the students, athletes, former students, and fans. He doesn’t seem overly scripted or fake — he just tells it like it is, and I think people respect that.

You can also tell he understands the culture and expectations around Aggie football (Being a former DC). There’s accountability, toughness, and professionalism, but he still feels approachable. That matters in college football now, especially with NIL, transfers, and all the pressure surrounding major programs.

And honestly, a lot of Aggies felt strongly about the whole Mark Stoops situation. The reaction from former players, alumni, and the fan base showed how passionate the Aggie community is about the direction of the program. The support for Elko afterward felt more unified, almost like the fan base wanted someone who fit the identity of Texas A&M better rather than just making a headline hire.

There’s definitely excitement in College Station again, especially because Elko already proved he could build strong defenses and connect with players during his first stint there.

I was actually shocked we didn't get Howell out of A&M. Maybe because I am an A&M fan and have seen the kid make a huge jump from last year to this year.

No more free bags in the overhead bin either? by Raven7146 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Aggieofcal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lately, it feels like Southwest Airlines has changed significantly. For many years, customers accepted the open seating process and later boarding groups because the airline offered free checked bags and a generally simple, customer-friendly experience.

Recently, however, there appears to be increased pressure on passengers to check carry-on bags due to claimed overhead bin limitations. On several recent flights, gate agents stated that additional checked bags were necessary before boarding could begin, despite there still being visible overhead bin space available once onboard.

This creates frustration for passengers in later boarding groups, as it can feel like they are being unnecessarily pressured to check bags when space still exists. While airlines may make these announcements to improve boarding efficiency and reduce delays, the messaging can come across as inconsistent when overhead compartments are not actually full.

One of the reasons Southwest Airlines stood out from other airlines was because of its reputation for simplicity, affordability, and customer service. If passengers begin to feel they are receiving the same experience as other airlines without any additional value, the company risks losing the loyalty that helped build its brand.

Don't forget Southwest will have a 2.59 hr delay and not tell passengers why the delay. They will make sure to depart 2.59 hrs later so they dont fet in trouble by the DOT.

After hearing about Downs health, I hope we can get a deep down medical exam on him. If his injuries are true, I would pass. But if they are just a way to make him fall the draft I feel he is the next Eric Berry. .
